Where would you spend most of your time on board?

That’s the question Michela asks as we step aboard M/Y EUPHORIA, the 30-metre Squalo 100 by Alpha Custom Yachts.

A relatively young name in yacht building, Alpha was founded by long-time yacht owners Jorge and Roberto Aboumrad, with a design philosophy centred around how people actually live and spend time together on board.

And that thinking comes through on EUPHORIA.

From the plunge pool to the flybridge, and through her bright, generous interiors, the yacht offers very different ways to experience time on board.

Seeing a yacht first-hand allows us to look beyond specifications and understand how the spaces really work — how they connect, how they feel, and ultimately how they might suit a particular client.

That perspective is an essential part of our work as brokers.

3,176 superyachts were detected in Gallura this summer. With the season now behind us, the numbers reveal an interesting shift.

Between June and August 2026, 3,176 unique yachts over 24 metres were recorded in North-Eastern Sardinia — almost 10% more than in 2025 and over 27% more than in 2024.

What stands out is not only the increase, but how that activity is spreading beyond the traditional Costa Smeralda hotspots, across a broader part of the region.

One important distinction: these figures do not represent charter bookings. They include yachts staying in the area as well as those transiting through it.

What they do show is a clear evolution in the scale and geographic spread of superyacht activity across North-Eastern Sardinia.

Sardinia’s relevance to yachting is not new.
The way that activity is evolving is worth watching.

For us, brokerage is about staying close — to the yachts, to the market, and above all to the people.

A short trip to Barcelona gave us the opportunity to visit two yachts, spend time with partners and continue conversations that matter.

Because knowing the market is not only about following listings. It is about seeing yachts for ourselves, understanding the opportunities behind them, and building relationships over time.

Because some of the most interesting moments of Monaco week happen just outside the show.

Monaco Yacht Show is never only about what happens inside the show.

This year, we spent a large part of the week moving between yacht viewings, meetings and selected visits — both on the docks and out in the bay.

For a boutique brokerage like Villa Yachting, that is really what Monaco is about: using the week selectively, seeing the yachts that matter, meeting the people behind the projects and continuing conversations that often started long before the show.

We still found time to come across a few spectacular things along the way — and, of course, to enjoy the moments that make Monaco such a unique week for the industry.

What stays with us from Cannes?

Not the number of yachts visited or the kilometres walked along the pontoons.

A yacht that made us stop and look again.
A conversation worth continuing.
A quick escape to Beaulieu-sur-Mer to spend some time on board STEEL.
Details we noticed once we stepped aboard.
Familiar faces, new ones, and a few ideas already taking shape.

That is what we take back from a yacht show.

Beyond the obvious visibility, Cannes remains a chance to see yachts for ourselves, understand them better, speak with the people behind them and keep building the relationships that matter in this industry.

A busy few days — and plenty to take forward.

Two evenings in Sardinia I won’t forget.

I brought my paintings to the Costa Smeralda, first at W Sardinia - Poltu Quatu, then on board with Villa Yachting, and I found people who took the time to look, to ask, to understand what is behind each canvas. Some of them are now taking a piece of that work home.

For an artist, this is what counts.

My thanks to everyone who was there, to W Sardinia and Villa Yachting for the locations, and to Gabriel & Spirits and Gabriel Ernesto Rapisarda 🇮🇹, who made these two evenings possible.

The journey continues.

Yacht size is only the beginning.

Length tells you how big a yacht is. It tells you very little about how good your charter will be.

What often makes the real difference sits beyond the headline specifications: a crew that understands its guests, a captain who knows the area, spaces that genuinely work for the way you want to spend your days, and a yacht that is well run.
