Castello Della Monica continues to be a central hub of Teramo’s cultural and tourist life.

Caliscendi al Castello was born from the desire to connect the beauty of this space with the culinary excellence of our region, creating an opportunity for encounter, promotion, and sharing.

This important event, made possible by the collaboration between institutions, the Superintendency, and local organizations, confirms Castello Della Monica’s ability to host diverse initiatives and engage with the city.

In 2022, we reopened it for the first time after decades of closure, returning an extraordinary heritage to the community.

In a year and a half, the Castle welcomed 35,000 visitors. Since its reopening in December 2025, following the interventions funded by the PNRR, over 10,000 visitors have been recorded.

These numbers speak to a clear choice: investing in culture, making the city’s sites accessible, and transforming them into a concrete lever for tourism and regional development.

Caliscendi al Castello fits perfectly into this journey, combining cultural heritage, food and wine tradition, and networking skills.

This is the direction we have taken and will continue to pursue together, enhancing Teramo’s identity and its many excellences.

From August 1 to 29, 2026, the Card. Carlo Confalonieri Library in L’Aquila will host the exhibition “Tradition that Interweaves Beauty,” dedicated to traditional Abruzzo clothing. The exhibition will also feature bobbin lace, hand-woven blankets, and wool processing tools. The exhibition—sponsored by the newly established M.A.Tra.P. The L’Aquila Museum of Popular Traditions (comprising Paolo Giuliani’s personal collections), in collaboration with the Archeotombolo group of the Archeoclub of L’Aquila and Verna Maîtres d’Or of Pescara, offers a journey through the beauty of objects, providing access to the memory of communities and the material culture of Abruzzo women.

On August 1st at 10:00 a.m., we’ll be waiting for you for a workshop dedicated to one of the symbols of Abruzzo cuisine: pasta alla molinara.

An authentic experience where you’ll discover the ancient art of making handmade pasta: kneading, cooking, and, of course, enjoying it together, accompanied by a glass of wine selected by the producer.

An opportunity to experience the flavors of the region, share a moment of conviviality, and rediscover the gestures that express our tradition.

✈️ This evening at 7:00 pm, the Aeroplanino will fly again.

After years of closure and neglect, the Stella Maris in Montesilvano reopens its doors and prepares for a new era.

One of the most iconic sites in the Province of Pescara, famous for its unmistakable airplane shape, is reborn as the headquarters of the Gabriele d’Annunzio University: a space dedicated to research, innovation, and education, in one of the few university campuses in Italy directly overlooking the sea.

This evening, at 7:00 pm, the inaugural ceremony will mark the beginning of a new chapter for a building that represents the memory of our region and, at the same time, looks confidently to the future.

The Aeroplanino will fly again. And with it, a dream that belongs to the entire community begins again.

⚔️ CELTIC WARRIORS INVADE THE RIVER PARK 🔥

The clang of blades.
The battle cries.
The fires of the camps.
For two days, time will turn back.

At the Abruzzo Irish Festival 2026, numerous Celtic warrior camps will come to life, present throughout the event and ready to transform the “De Carolis” River Park into an authentic ancient battlefield.

Among tents, shields, armor, and banners, you will witness spectacular combat demonstrations, duels, juggling, and historical reenactments that showcase the strength, skill, and courage of the Celtic peoples.

But this time, you won’t just be spectators.

You’ll be able to enter the camps, meet the warriors, learn about their weapons, and participate in guided combat sessions and trials with real swords, conducted in controlled conditions and under the supervision of expert reenactors.

This experience will be brought to life by:
