Part 1 of 4 - Portugal 2026 - First stop Lagos, Algarve Region - We recently returned home from a 3 week trip to Portugal. We planned this trip as a way to explore some European snow bird destinations. Seeking reprieve from the cold and gray Northeastern US winters. Chasing sunshine and mild temperatures. Portugal had record breaking rain this winter which we were able to see first hand, mostly during this first week. We didn't let the rain stop us from getting out and exploring. Luckily the temps were mild and we did get a few pops of sunshine!

Michael and I recently returned from our two-week honeymoon in Italy. We got engaged in Italy in 2023 and felt it was right to go back and further explore this beautiful country for our honeymoon. First up, 3 nights in Venice.

Here are a few pictures of our first day. We arrived at approximately 2:30pm local time, checked into our Airbnb, got ready, and headed out to explore a bit before our 7:00 rooftop dinner reservation at Hotel Danieli, Venice . The food, beverages, and service were just as wonderful as the view. It was a great way to kick off our special trip!
