I’m writing this message to you now, but I still can’t believe that you’re no longer in this world.
We only met at a live house in Shimokitazawa just last month. Are you really gone?
Even in the middle of this scorching summer, I imagined you flying all over the world, chasing BAND-MAID from one place to another, just like you always did.
When we met this past May, I asked you, “When are you going to take Allica and the others to the U.S.?”
You said, “Hopefully around November.” You even told me that you had already secured a venue.
That’s why it breaks my heart to think that your dream has come to an end like this.
I still remember every single tour from the very first time you joined one of my jrocktours. I remember them all so clearly.
It felt like we were two people chasing the same dream, in our own ways.
This song is perfect for the NPO you named, OneSkyMusic.
When I first heard this song, I thought you must have heard it and come up with the name “OneSkyMusic” because of it. But you told me that it was actually just a coincidence.
I wonder if, at the moment you left this world, we were all looking up at the same sky.
Somehow, I still feel like you must be somewhere out there.
Michael, I hope we meet again somewhere, someday.
