"Kagurazaka Street Stage O-edo Tour 2023" festival will be held on May 20th and 21st in Kagurazaka, Tokyo.

This festival features various traditional Japanese performing arts such as music, storytelling, and Noh theater. You can enjoy performances on traditional instruments like the shamisen, koto, and shakuhachi, as well as physical expressions like juggling and lion dance.
There will also be programs for parents and children to enjoy together, such as the Edo marionette group and hands-on experience with traditional musical instruments.

Come and connect with Japanese culture in the town of Kagurazaka, where traditional culture is a part of daily life. This festival is perfect for everyone, even if you're not familiar with traditional performing arts or are from overseas. Don't miss out!

From “Gagaku” and “Bugaku” that the Heian nobles loved, that has been inherited from the Middle Ages to traditional Japanese dance that was born in the early modern period will be performed bravely with “Chikuzen biwa”.

The history of Japanese physical expression will be spelled out by a storyteller at Yarai Noh Theater, a stage that represents Kagurazaka.
