If you’ve been doing a lot of walking lately (or just need a cheap, relaxing escape), you need to save this post. Tucked away in our neighborhood is Komorebi no Ashiyu (こもれびの足湯)—a completely FREE, beautifully maintained public hot foot bath!

It is the absolute perfect pitstop after walking along the Tamagawa Aqueduct or spending a day exploring. They have four different pools with varying temperatures (from perfectly warm to nice and hot), plenty of shade, and total nature vibes. 🌿

💡 THE COOLEST TRIVIA (Impress your friends with this!):
How is a hot spring running in the middle of the suburbs? 🤯 The water isn’t heated by natural volcanic magma—it’s actually an incredible eco-friendly neighborhood loop! Deep groundwater is pumped up and then completely heated using the leftover, recycled thermal energy from the nearby waste treatment plant. It’s clean, sustainable, and purely genius. ♻️✨
