JOB VACANCY: DECLARATIONS OFFICER
We are seeking to recruit a competent and experienced Declarations Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit customs entries and declarations accurately and within the required timelines • Ensure compliance with Kenya Revenue Authority customs regulations and procedures • Handle import and export documentation processing • Verify invoices, permits, shipping documents, and tariff classifications • Coordinate with clients, transporters, shipping lines, and relevant government agencies • Monitor cargo clearance progress and resolve declaration-related issues • Maintain accurate records and filing of customs documents • Ensure proper use of customs systems and adherence to operational standards
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Clearing and Forwarding, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field • Must possess a valid KESRA certificate in Customs Administration, Clearing and Forwarding, or an equivalent customs compliance course from Kenya School of Revenue Administration • Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Declarations Officer or in customs clearance operations • Strong knowledge of customs declaration procedures, import and export processes, and KRA regulations • Experience using customs declaration systems or relevant clearance platforms • Excellent understanding of tariff classification and customs documentation requirements • Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
