Most visitors arrive at the temple grounds around 4:30 to 5:00 AM to secure a good viewing spot in front of the main reflecting pond. As darkness gives way to light, the silhouette of Angkor Wat’s iconic towers slowly comes into view. The experience is peaceful yet powerful—often described as spiritual, meditative, and humbling.
