If you're planning yun Elyu trip, here are some ideas on where to eat. Sharing everything we ate during our 3D2N trip last May.

1. CUYO
Love the place and the food! Their food is on the healthier side – leafy, minimal seasoning, and tastes fresh. 🤍

2. Sabong Fried Chicken
Expect long lines since this is a crowd fave. Interesting take on Filipino fried chicken flavors. 🍗

3. Miryinda
Isa pang mahaba ang pila. Haha! This garage-turned restaurant offers classic Filipino faves.

4. Billie's Coffee + Kitchen
Good breakfast spot + pet-friendly! 🐾

5. Mahalo Matcha
May mini-hike involved (you'll see!) Lol. Overlooking sa dagat kaya masarap tumambay. 😌

6. The Tiny Bar LU
True to its name, maliit lang talaga 'to. I think kasya 10pax max. Intimate setting + good cocktails! 🍸

i still think of that tofu... 💭

We've randomly (lol checked nearby restaurants in google maps) came across this small diner. It has good reviews so we decided to try it.

What stuck with me is how the owner (an old lady probably in her 80s) single-handedly does everything in the diner. Her warmth resonates despite the language barrier and both online and offline reviews (handwritten notes) show how a regular meal becomes a memorable part of their travels in Kyoto.

You might want to pass by if you're around Tofuku-ji :)

I was fascinated na may specialty matcha dito kasi I just know the place as a residential area. It's a house turned into a café kaya super cozy and intimate lang – probably ~20 seats inside + ~4 outside. 🏠

Rich matcha flavor, creamy but not too milky or too sweet. Disclaimer lang... nag-palpitate kami dito buong gabi so if you're caffeine-sensitive, sip responsibly. 😆

Overall, this is a nice place to catch-up with friends, unwind, or even study/work. With AC and wifi. 😋💻 Street parking lang so be considerate sa residents.

MY FAVEEEEE! I swear ito ang best unlimited BBQ sa Calamba. I love love love their peanut sauce. 😭🤚 I always enjoy dining here. Generous sila sa side dishes + masarap din lahat, especially their kimchi and seaweed. Perfect combo yung hotpot pambalanse kung sawa ka na sa grilled meat. Hindi overflavored yung meat nila kaya hindi din nakakaumay for an unlimited BBQ. Napaparami talaga lagi ako ng kain dito. 🤣

Madami din silang options: pork, beef, and seafood. Competitive din yung price nila, affordable vs other similar restaurants sa area. Check niyo nalang yung price sa page nila, naka-promo kasi ata. But I always get the Natsu Set 2 (Pork + Chicken + Beef + Hotpot), usually priced at Php 599.

May branch din sa Sto. Tomas at Milagrosa but dito ako lagi sa Halang! Try niyo na tapos sama ako. 🫠

Tried this quiet, humble cafe in San Jose. Our orders were okay – may be a bit sweet than my liking but you'll enjoy this if you like your matcha sweet and milky. I heard they take pride in their pastries but we weren't able to try it.

This is a nice place for quick barkada catch-up or solo date. ♡
