✨ Chasing golden hour vibes at Bangkok’s Temple of Dawn 🌅

💡 here’s what you need to know:

🎟️ entrance ticket for foreigners: THB 200 per person

🕰️ the site is open from 8am to 6pm with 8am-10am being the best time to visit, as well as late in the afternoon or just in time for the sunset to get those “golden hour” shots.

personal take: 1-2hrs of walking around the site and photo taking should be enough to get to know more about the place and take some good snaps with you.

👗 dress comfortably and modestly. be sure to get your knees and shoulders covered. alternatively, you can carry an additional scarf or sarong that you can use to do so at the moment.

speaking of dress, there are traditional Thai costumes available inside and within the area that you can rent. some packages include accessories such as bags and others offer hairstyling as well.

📸 while vlogging and photo sessions are a must when traveling, and you might be tempted to take photos with monks in the area, one must ask them politely, act respectfully and for women, one must keep distance since monks are not allowed to touch women bound by their vows.

some people would rent a service from a professional photographer who can get them crowd-free shots and are very familiar with nice spots to take your photos, you can see them walking around with professional cameras.

🍱 drinks and small packaged snacks are allowed inside, however, eating and drinking are not allowed in the immediate prayer areas.

🛍️ there are souvenir shops inside as well where you can buy ref magnets, the famous “elephant pants”, bags and other touristy things you can think of.

🗺️ there are other places to see in the area as well such as the grand palace, wat pho, museum of siam and national museum.

🦕 Nong Nooch Tropical Garden 🍃

📌 some stuff to expect before you go:

🥘 there are various restaurants to dine, choose between different cuisines. be it northeastern, european, indian and thai.

🛺 car service (golf carts) are available for VIP service. 1-hour tour gives you comprehensive tour with driver cm guide across the whole garden.

🚍 for bigger groups, you can hop on a bus as well for free. this also offers you an opportunity to tour around the place, see various gardens.

🐘 elephant ride and shows are available on-site too! (however, we opted to feed a gentle giant instead of riding it)

🇹🇭 learn more about thailand’s culture by watching their cultural performances

📌 some handy tips from us:

☀️ if visiting during dry/summer season, it’s best to wear comfortable clothing, put sunscreens on, bring portable fans, kiddie snacks and water, cap/hats and umbrella would be huge help as well. you can also consider bringing extra shirt if you sweat a lot.

🧴 mosquito and/or insect repellents are a must, especially if you have kids.

💊 personally, i always carry OTC meds in my bag, for any “just in case” situations - some meds i bring are for headache and diarrhea.

we did not bring stroller/baby carriers during this time, so it will be highly dependent on your preference and need.

there are definitely more to see and to do inside the garden, so if this kind of attractions interests you, this spot might be worth visiting.

one of the world’s largest man-made floating market is in thailand 🇹🇭

this tourist spot is roughly 1.5hrs away from bangkok.

here’s what you need to know 👇🏼

🎟️ THB 200 / adult ; THB 100 / child

🚘 This tourist destination can be easily accessed by taxi, private car or Grab. Unlike in Khao Chi Chan, public transportation is available here.

📌 things to do:

🛶 while boat ride sounds interesting, our tour guide discouraged us from riding as prices could go up and may not be reasonable. but of course, it’s still up to you if you’d like to get this experience.

🥭 EAT. there are a couple of shops here that are offering local food, such as their famous mango sticky rice.

🐊 no, there are no live crocodiles there (as far as i know?) you’ll see a bunch of people queuing up to buy crocodile meat, cooked like a bbq. we tried it, although that’s not really something to our liking. if you’re not sensitive, it’s fun trying it out too!

🛍️ there are also a lot local souvenirs to choose from. again, accdg to our guide, price range may not be as low since tourists are their target market here.

🪭 cultural performances or shows are also showcased within the market, be sure to check them out online just to make sure they match your visit date.

the place is open daily from 9am to 7pm. early mornings or during sun downs may be great for exploring for cooler atmosphere.

visiting this 24K gold plated buddha laser-carved in a mountain in thailand 🇹🇭

here’s what to know 👇🏼

🎟️ entrance fees: this site offers free admission to its visitors. there’s also no age limit when entering the site.

👕 what to wear? since this is a sacred place, visitors are encouraged to dress modestly, covering shoulders and knees but comfortable enough to walk around, especially if you go during dry season.

🚖 transportation: i would personally suggest to join a group tour or rent a car when going here. grab car would also be an option, just be reminded that there’s no direct transportation like bus or trains in the area.

🪭 it was quite too warm when we visited in february, so portable fans are a-must!

🧴since we have a kid, insect repellant also comes in handy since it’s an outdoor space and the main tourists’ area is at the foot of a mountain.

there are also a couple of restaurants and other tourist spots nearby, so to make the most of your trip here, it is highly suggested that you plan your route ahead of time.

J-Park Nihon Mura is a Japanese-themed mall in Si Racha, Chonburi, Thailand.
It's a shopping mall that is often described as
"Little Japan". 🇯🇵

The atmosphere is good and perfect for photo taking. It's spacious with a number of shops and restaurants. ☕️

While it's an outdoor space, it's quiet and | actually find it nice to just hangout in one of the cafés one atternoon. 🍃
