Did you know there is a village in India where houses don’t have front doors? Welcome to Shani Shingnapur in Maharashtra!
For centuries, the residents of this village have lived without doors or locks on their homes, shops, and even banks. 😱
Why No Doors?
The villagers have deep-rooted faith in Lord Shani, the guardian deity of the village. They believe that anyone who attempts to steal will immediately face the wrath of God and be punished.
Mind-Blowing Facts:
🏦 Doorless Bank: The local branch of UCO Bank is the first of its kind in India to have no front door (it only has a glass door and an electromagnetic lock for legal reasons, but it remains open!).
👮 Zero Crime: For generations, the village has reported almost zero cases of theft or burglary.
🏠 Open Living: Even new constructions follow this tradition, keeping the entrance wide open to show their ultimate trust and faith.
