🌿Painted Stork

The Painted Stork is a large, elegant wading bird famous for its striking colors and calm presence in wetlands. It gets its name from the soft pink “painted” feathers near its tail, which make it look like a piece of art in nature.

🎨 Appearance
• Height: 100-90 cm
• Wingspan: Around 150–160 cm
• Color:
• White body
• Black wings with beautiful scale-like patterns
• Light pink feathers near the tail
• Beak: Long, thick, and yellow-orange, slightly curved downward
• Legs: Long and pinkish-red
• Face: Bare orange skin around the eyes

👉 Males and females look almost the same, which makes them hard to tell apart.
