📍St. Petersburg - Russia 🇷🇺

What an incredible city to visit!

Did you know? St. Petersburg was the imperial city for 2 centuries and it was founded in 1703 by Tsar Peter (the Great);
A lot of history here, for sure.

This church is one of the major attractions of St. Petersburg. It’s called “Savior on the Spilled Blood”. It is an Orthodox Church as 87% of the population in Russia is Orthodox.

Currently it functions as a museum and church at the same time.
(Although while visiting, due COVID restrictions we weren’t able to visit the inside. 😢) - I was really bummed out but definitely planning on visiting again in the future when things will hopefully be back to normal.

Besides religion or beliefs I do love visiting churches around the world to appreciate its history and architecture. And even though we weren’t able to go in, I still think it was so worth it to go, walk around the city and soak all I could even for only 1 day. Yeah.. I know, just that!

Well, initially we had 2 days but since our first flight was delayed going to Finland, everything got pushed back, so we decided to just go for a day (visa restrictions included in the decision making)- things we do for traveling to a new country. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 - more to share about this part of the adventure haha

But anyways… The architecture of the outside is stunning and I could only imagine and dream looking at pictures how it would be breathtaking to see the inside in person.

Husky Sledding in Finland 🇫🇮
What a great experience!!

This Husky Farm in Inari have 71 dogs so far. Mostly huskies but also mix breeds.

It was originally created to breed racing dogs, that’s why the other breeds mixes, that way they could get faster and stronger dogs. But then later the first owner decided to retire from racing and turned the farm into tourism.

The dogs are exposed to people since they are puppies, so they can socialize and get used to people. These dogs are super sweet, love pets and can’t get enough of attention.

In the summer they don’t do any activities, maximum is to swim in the lake. In fact, they do not like the summer at all. It’s their holiday to just relax.

Now In the winter, they are in their happy place and they absolutely love to pull the sleds.

It takes a bit to know the dogs’ personalities.. it’s not every dog that can be put in any position on a sled, not all females like to be in the front with other females and same goes to some males. There are some that refuse to go with certain dogs by their side or even same trip. 🦮🛷

It takes over 2 years for a dog to start pulling a sled and they choose when they want to retire. When the dog turns about 10yo they start slowing them down and spacing the trips in days of the week that they would go out there.

Thanks for this amazing opportunity

Did you know all these details about husky sledding?
Have you ever gone dog sledding before? Tell me all in the comments.

Costa Rica beaches 🇨🇷

This is Isla Tortuga and it was the only white sand beach that I was able to visit during my time in Costa Rica.
(🖤Jacó em Playa Hermosa are black sand beaches 🖤)

From Jacó we went to the marina and then took a boat to the island, which was a fun and comfortable ride. 🛥

The trip included refreshing fruit snacks, drinks and lunch plus activities like snorkeling, hikes, banana boat and more.

If you’re going to Costa Rica you should check out Isla Tortuga, and for that and many other activities I highly recommend they took care of everything for us, from transportation to activities and even a private chef for my bday party. (How cool is that?)

I didn’t have to worry about a thing, just go and enjoy. The real Pura Vida Style.. The hardest part was just choose what I wanted to do hahaha so many choices. 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Tag a friend that you’d love to go to Isla Tortuga with.

Arenal Volcano 🌋

We took this amazing hike until as far as we could go to see this gorgeous view.
Unfortunately climb to the very top of the volcano is not allowed. Although some people do it, it’s not legal because it’s dangerous.

The fog was on our way to see the whole volcano, but it was still an incredible and successful day!

Costa Rica - Pura Vida!! 🤎

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!

Thanks for giving us a real life teddy bear 🥰🧸
So happy to have 2 Valentine’s this year 😍

Has been a wonderful journey with this amazing man by my side. Lots of challenges but that’s what makes us grow together as a couple. Love doesn’t mean always roses..

Hope you’re enjoying your loved one, even if that means friendships. And hope you also enjoy yourself today, because we are our first and most important love before anyone else. ❤️

... 5 years later... ⁣

Here we are: ⁣
- Building a wonderful life together ⁣
- Creating unforgettable moments ⁣
- Achieving the “impossible” dreams ⁣
- Learning and growing together everyday ⁣
- And we haven’t killed each other yet, so that’s good! 🙃⁣

Today has been 5 years that we have met each other, or how Will likes to say: meet-averssary, and to celebrate we decided to do one of the things we love the most: Travel ⁣
We are traveling through memory lane this time though, reviving that magical night of 2015. ⁣
We re-read our conversations on Bumble of the week before we met. ⁣
We came to a Japanese restaurant to eat sushi, just like on our first date, although is a different restaurant because with things should get better with time, and we’re looking at each other with the same googley eyes of love at 1st sight that we had that night. ⁣
Now the goal is to talk non stop (not a problem for us haha) and close down the place, so excuse us.. we’re on a mission! ⁣
Last ones standing here we go... another round of drinks bartender, please! ⁣

PS: The only difference is that this time we drove together because now I know Will isn’t a serial killer and there will be a kiss at the end of the night for sure, perhaps more than one...⁣

Cheers to an incredible 5 years together, lots of accomplishments, lots of travels, lots of little fights (thank god I don’t own a gun, scariest moment was when I bought boxing gloves), lot of growth together. ⁣

Happy anniversary to my favorite couple in the entire world, US! 😉❤️🥂🍣🍱⁣

11 curiosities about the Delicate Arch:⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🤍 The Delicate Arch is 60ft (18m) tall - light opening inside 46ft. ⁣⁣
🤍 It is a 100% natural rock formation and it was created by erosion. ⁣⁣
🤍 Considered one of the most famous attractions at the Arches National Park and in the world ⁣⁣
🤍 It is an iconic Utah symbol: depicted on Utah license plates and on postal stamps. ⁣⁣
🤍 The trail to the arch is around 3 miles (4.8km) round trip and climbs 480ft (146m) in elevation⁣⁣
🤍 Nearly 1.4 million people visit Arches National Park every year⁣⁣
🤍 It is illegal to climb the arch. ⁣⁣
🤍 If you’re not up for the hike, you can see the Delicate Arch from one of the viewpoints⁣⁣
🤍 People don’t just get there take a selfie and move on, they actually enjoy the stunning view - I was one of them that spent hours sitting, enjoying the view and taking millions of pictures 😂⁣⁣
🤍 At sunset time the Delicate Arch is even more beautiful, so expect crowds at this time of the day. ⁣⁣
🤍 The Delicate Arch (and other arches at the park) have this beautiful red color because of the iron oxide. ⁣⁣

Happy 1st day of October everyone! ⁣

The season of apple picking, pumpkin latte, and sweater weather is here!! 🤗🤎⁣

I’ve been ready and so excited about Fall, because watching the leaves changing colors reminds me that everything happens in cycles, and this too shall pass! 🍃 🍁 🍂 ⁣

We usually decorate our home (still need to do that) and this year I got some new scents for my candles () and cleaning supplies () that I just opened and the whole house smells sooo good. ⁣

I also love taking pictures this time of the year, my favorite colors. ⁣

Last year we went apple picking (📸) I’m hoping this year we get to go again. ⁣
I haven’t drank my pumpkin latte just yet, but that’s when fall officially starts for me haha 🎃 ☕️ ⁣

Do you have any Autumn traditions? Like going to a pumpkin patch, carve pumpkins with your S.O. or even just bake yourself a delicious apple pie? ⁣
