An evening well spent... learning, connecting

One of the things I love most about being a Travel Advisor is that there is always something new to learn. Tonight, I attended a wonderful Jamaica celebration hosted by Air Canada Vacations, Sandals Resorts Jamaica, Edmonton International Airport, and Air Canada Rouge.

It was a fantastic evening spent with some of my fellow Fareconnect agents, enjoying great food and learning more about this beautiful destination and the travel options available for our clients.

People often see the finished vacation—the beautiful beach photos and unforgettable memories—but they don't always see the work that happens behind the scenes. Events like these allow us to build relationships with our travel partners, stay current on new products and destinations, and gather valuable knowledge so we can confidently match our clients with the vacation that's just right for them.

I truly believe that learning never stops, and I love every opportunity to grow in this industry. Every presentation I attend and every supplier I meet helps me become a better advisor for my clients.

A sincere thank you to everyone who played a part in organizing such a wonderful evening. Your time, effort, does not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate everything you do to support the travel advisor community.

Today, I'm incredibly honoured to share that DB Travel – Fareconnect has been awarded 🥇 GOLD in the Travel Agencies category in the Community Votes Edmonton 2025 awards! ✈️🌍

The past year has brought some of the biggest changes and challenges of my life. There were moments when simply putting one foot in front of the other was enough. Through it all, my clients, friends, family, and this incredible community continued to support, encourage, and believe in me.

To everyone who nominated me, voted for me, booked your vacations with me, referred your family and friends, shared my posts, or simply cheered me on—thank you. Your kindness, loyalty, and trust have carried me through more than you know.
