On today’s episode of my waka waka, I’m going to share with you few observations I made while on the trip that took me to the Eastern Heartland(Ala Owerri Ndi Nwem).
1. Whenever you’re going to travel with a certain Nigerian airline, the best thing to do is to book and pray🙏 , keep praying until you arrive your destination else you may end up sleeping at the airport, inside the aircraft or traveling by bus. No matter your religion, that prayer part is very necessary.
2. I never knew that it was legal for a domestic aircraft to function like a BRT bus, dropping and picking passengers at every airport as they wish while prolonging the journey of some others . I learnt that interestingly, yet was even more grateful that they didn’t cancel the whole flight, at least I still got to my destination safely. peace our Goal
3. There’s a culture of saluting one another , even strangers in Umuahia, unlike Lagos where everyone is moving fast as if being chased by a demon. People are calm, sluggish and less busy in that city walahi 😂.
4. Road trip from Uyo to Umuahia was cool. Road trip from Umuahia to Owerri was great with a reasonable security presence.
5 . Funnily but truthfully, the giant mosquitos🦟 in this Owerri city will make you think they’re feeding on protein 😂 but not so in the villages. Why is the question I would like to know the answer.
