These are the basic needs of the society which Nigeria should have overgrown long time ago. It's like a familied man boasting about building a shelter for himself and family. Should they have lived in the forest before?
We should be talking about up-to-date kinetic technologies, innovative sciences, job opportunities, production economy, ICT, urban regeneration, automotive technology, aviation infrastructure, nuclear science, improved trade atmosphere, human capital development, modern transport means, improved healthcare, improved education standard, sophisticated response to security, tertiary infrastructure, etc. We've economic and human resources to achieve these quite long ago.
Any president or governor taking praises for constructing roads and school blocks is living in the past. Nature bequeathed Nigeria in abundance with energy sources, hydro resources, solid minerals, agricultural resources, human population index, human capacity, good weather and atmosphere, quality soil and lots more. We're supposed to lack nothing. It's just that the worst of us have been having their ways to political leadership. We can't continue celebrating overhead bridges, roads and school blocks when the rest of the world have moved miles away from these, even in some African nations with least economic viability. Where do we even see the roads, electricity, drinkable water, school blocks, markets, etc? Unfortunate, to say the least!
