ACCEPT TO BE CHEATED WHEN STARTING A BUSINESS.
Wao I know people will want to crucify me for saying this but please hear me out.
Anybody who comes to you and stays with you has a purpose.
Either they like you for the value they get from you,the help, the money, the connection, the advice, something they gain from you knowingly or unknowingly.
That said, every business, church, club, or any organization has a person or group of persons sacrificing to ensure that that business stands.
They are like the blood of that business especially if you are a new entrants into the business.
That person may bring something that no other person brings to the table.
They may be more engaging, more talented, have more customers, have great ideas and experience inshort a perfect fit for your business.
But as humans, they are imperfect, they may have one or two things, trait, attitude, that does not sit well with you.
It could be a worker who is skillful and people are flocking into your saloon to make hair but you discover she pockets small, small money.
What should you do?
It could be a person that puts his life on the line for the business, has more experience and getting your company running but expreses his or herself angrily or rudely (standing up to you)
How do you handle the fellow?
It could be have a rider/driver that works maximally for you in a logistics company, does all your deliveries but you notice that he does 1 or 2 of his own deliveries too.
Should you fire him?
It could be a person who always run errands for you,it doesn't matter where that person will go for you, but you discover that he normally price the commodity to get a penny or two for himself
Should you stop sending him?
If you have a friend who drives you around because you can't drive your car, but you discovered that he normally picks up and drops his babes without your convent.
should you take the car from him?
My take
I suggest you take time, learn, follow the rudiments of your business from anyone and stand properly before you take a decision to sack, change, or harm that person that drives your business.
I'm not promoting insincerity,I don't like it either. However, business has crumbled because of I can't be cheated, I can't take it, hasty decisions to feel in charge.
Bosses feeling they are being undermined have sacked important people to the detriment of their business because of insecurity.
Sometimes, let people think you are a fool to get the knowledge you need to go forward.
When you have arrived, you would truly have shown who is wise and in charge.
