When General Buhari's Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, was buried after dying in a plane crash, neither Buhari nor Osinbajo attended his funeral, which took place at the National Cemetery, less than 20 miles from A*o Rock.
But today, President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima are attending the burial of their Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja.
This is commendable and a sign to the Nigerian military that they have a Commander-in-Chief who truly cares for them, prioritises their welfare, and puts their interests ahead of his, unlike in the past.
Under Tinubu, Temporary Pains (T-Pain) will result in Permanent Gains.
May God grant the family of Taoreed Lagbaja fortitude to bear their loss, and may God bless Nigeria.
