This is a hands-on finance role at the heart of our operations, working closely with the full team in our Amsterdam office. If you have a background in financial administration or business control and care about making a real impact, this could be the role for you.

📍 Based in Amsterdam
⏰ 30–40 hours per week
💶 €3,500 – €4,500 per month (40 hours/week)

The past few weeks at The Great Bubble Barrier® have been a good mix of teamwork, strategy, and a little bit of fun. 💙 💪

With a love for water and a healthy level of competitiveness, we completed a ‘sloepenrace’ in Haarlem. The weather had other ideas, but we embraced it, got our hands dirty, and had a great time.

Back at the office, we dived into strategic planning and spent a day with our team coach, Maarten Stenvers, to prepare for a busy second quarter. Lunches were taken outside, picnic-style, and we may have got a little creative with our tosti set-up.

Whatever the rest of the year brings, we are ready to tackle it with this competitive and innovative team.

Exciting things are bubbling behind the scenes!

Looking back at 2019, when we installed our first Bubble Barrier in Amsterdam, it is exciting to see it be part of more conversations and stories around the world.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Carlo Mameli and Lilian from Italy, who are integrating our technology as part of their documentary 'Plastic Reborn'. A film that covers the story of river initiatives in the fight against plastic pollution. As well as the realities of operating such an innovation within the wider scope of city planning and governance.

🎞️ The documentary is planned to air at the end of 2026, so keep an eye out!

Twee weken geleden mochten we Marieke Vellinga-Beemsterboer, Tweede Kamerlid voor D66 en verantwoordelijk voor Wadden, Water, Natuur en Dierenwelzijn, verwelkomen bij onze Bubble Barrier in Harlingen. 💙

Als voormalig wethouder van de gemeente Vlieland weet zij als geen ander wat de Waddenzee betekent en wat er op het spel staat als we plastic afval z'n gang laten gaan. We lieten haar zien hoe onze technologie werkt en hoe het project in Harlingen tot stand is gekomen dankzij een actieve groep bewoners. Maar we deelden ook eerlijk waar we tegenaan lopen: de verantwoordelijkheid voor afval in water is in Nederland versnipperd over meerdere overheden en instanties. Dat maakt het complex voor iedereen die probeert te helpen.

Dankjewel, Marieke Vellinga-Beemsterboer, voor het luisteren naar ons verhaal. Dit soort momenten geeft ons een steuntje in de rug om het plasticprobleem niet alleen lokaal maar ook landelijk aan te pakken.
