Excellent OSR Drill Performance at GTA Hub

We are proud to recognise the outstanding performance of the crews aboard SD Djoudj and SD Chatboul during a recent Oil Spill Response (OSR) exercise at the FLNG platform off the coast of Senegal and Mauritania.

The exercise focused on containment and recovery deployment, with both KOTUG tugs successfully handling the boom and skimmer while demonstrating excellent vessel manoeuvring in both "J" and "U" formations. Throughout the drill, the crews followed established procedures, conducted comprehensive toolbox talks, and executed the operation safely and compliantly.

The exercise received exceptional feedback from our client, who described it as "the best drill yet," recognising the significant progress made through continuous learning, collaboration and operational excellence.

This achievement reflects the professionalism, competence and dedication of our crews, who continue to strengthen their capabilities and deliver safe, reliable marine operations every day.

Congratulations to the crews of SD Djoudj and SD Chatboul, and to everyone involved in planning and executing this successful exercise. Your commitment to continuous improvement is what keeps KOTUG Ahead in Maritime Excellence.

Today marks an important milestone for the future of sustainable maritime operations in the Netherlands.

Rijkswaterstaat has officially launched the research and development phase of the Power2Tow innovation partnership. We are proud to be part of Kustkracht, one of the three selected consortia, bringing together KOTUG International, IHC Defence and Bluewater Energy Services to develop innovative solutions for the next generation of near zero-emission Emergency Response Towing Vessels (ERTVs).

Together, the Kustkracht consortium will contribute to the development of electric emergency response towing vessels, offshore and onshore charging infrastructure, and an operational concept that supports a safer and more sustainable North Sea. The vessels will operate primarily on electric power, with sustainable e-methanol providing the energy needed for emergency towing operations.

Power2Tow represents a new way of driving innovation through collaboration between government and industry, helping accelerate the transition towards cleaner, smarter and more resilient maritime operations.

We look forward to working alongside Rijkswaterstaat and the other project partners to shape the future of emergency response at sea.

Every minute at the berth counts.

A delayed arrival, unavailable berth or equipment issue can quickly disrupt terminal operations and increase waiting times and costs.

OptiPort Berth Scheduling helps terminals stay ahead by using a digital twin to continuously optimize berth allocation as conditions change. Every ETA update, delay or operational constraint is automatically incorporated to generate the most efficient schedule, while keeping planners fully in control.

The result is reduced waiting times, faster turnaround, better berth utilization and greater control over demurrage costs.

Move from reactive planning to intelligent berth optimization with OptiPort.

Today, on the International Day of the Seafarer, we recognise the people who keep our operations moving, often far from home and in some of the world's most demanding environments.

From the bridge to the engine room, from the deck to the galley, every role contributes to safe, reliable and efficient operations. It is the commitment, professionalism and teamwork of our seafarers that enables KOTUG to deliver excellence every day, wherever we operate.

To all our crews around the world: thank you for your dedication, resilience and the pride you bring to your work.

Together, we are One KOTUG. One Team.
