His journey proved that greatness is not determined by where you start, but by how boldly you pursue your purpose.

Though his footsteps have faded from the trails, his legacy will continue to guide every climber who looks toward the Himalayas and every dreamer who refuses to accept limits.

A Legend Who Changed the World of Mountaineering. 🕊️🏔️

The mountains have lost one of their greatest ambassadors.

Nirmal “Nimsdai” Purja inspired millions through his extraordinary achievements, fearless leadership, and unwavering belief that limits exist only to be challenged. From completing all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks in record time to leading historic expeditions in the Himalayas, his legacy reshaped modern mountaineering and inspired a new generation of climbers across the globe.

Following the tragic avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan’s Karakoram, the mountaineering community is mourning an irreplaceable loss. His courage, determination, and passion for the mountains will continue to inspire adventurers for generations to come.

Rest in peace, Nimsdai.
Your footsteps may have stopped, but your legacy will forever echo across the Himalayas. 💔

You can’t see Everest from Everest Base Camp.

It hides behind Nuptse’s shoulder. You walk 130 km, climb to 5,364 m, stand on the Khumbu Glacier — and the mountain itself stays out of sight.
Base camp gives you the scale. Kala Patthar gives you the mountain.

A few more things nobody tells you before booking:
→ The hardest day isn’t base camp. It’s day two, Phakding to Namche, 830 m of climbing before your body has adapted to anything.
→ The “rest days” are not rest days. On day six you climb Nangkartshang at 5,083 m — higher than base camp — then walk back down to sleep. That’s the entire reason the trek works.
→ Lukla flights get cancelled. Build buffer days or don’t book a fixed flight home.
