Today in Brazil it's the National Cheese Bread Day!!!

This date honors one of the greatest symbols of cuisine from Minas Gerais: Pão de queijo!

The observance was officially established in 2007 during a Cheese bread contest.

Its origins goes way back during the 18th century, in Minas Gerais farms when they had surplus of cassava starch and cheese.

This combination led to our beloved cheese bread!! 😁

And we are super happy to be able to celebrate this date here in New Zealand !!
