It’s hard to tell how horrendously rough this crossing was from a video. So to illustrate further: when I finally managed to raise my head from the back of the seat in front of me William reassuringly informed me that at least five people in our immediate vicinity had just vommed into a wee paper bag... Also, in case it’s not clear, the waves were crashing right over the roof of the cabin. 🌊

This walk started with us backtracking a few times. It featured a path so eroded that at some points we were shoulder deep in sand dunes. One of us ended up coated in sheep s**t. Worth it for the beautiful views though. 💙 @ Allan's Beach, Otago Peninsula
