After a financial services career spanning 28 years, it is with mixed feelings, that we advise that Rod Snow is formally retiring from Finance New Zealand .

Rod began his asset finance journey with AGC Finance in Christchurch on the 4th of September 1997. After AGC was bought by GE Capital Rod relocated to the Bay of Plenty in October 2002. Rod became one of GE’s top Asset Finance sales executives and built a strong and loyal client base throughout the Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Central North Island, East Coast, and South Island.

When GE Capital exited the New Zealand market in late 2015, Rod played a key role in the establishment of Finance New Zealand Ltd as one of our founding shareholders and as a Director. Rod was instrumental in our early growth and has played a key role in our (nearly) ten year journey as we have built the Finance New Zealand business.

Career highlights for Rod include having watched a number of clients grow from start-up businesses (often with Rod funding their first machine) to large and financially successful businesses, GE Capital’s US forestry field trip in 2014 (pictured below), and having loyal clients who have supported him throughout his career.

We wish Rod all the best in his retirement from financial services. Never one to put his feet up, Rod remains a busy man, heavily involved in his farming operations, and Silkwood Living.
