Today we are removing an old concrete slab in preparation for a new dwelling in Cromwell.
Turns out the concrete was harder to break than anticipated so we got in the big guns.
Rick on the 5 tonner with the breaker and Richard on the 3.5 tonner loading the truck. Good combination, job nearly complete.

An interesting job this morning for Chappy @ Chappy Contracting.
We transported this classic old Preistman Beaver excavator from Blackmans Rd to Earnscleugh Rd.
Chappie tells me it's a 1960s model used for mining. It still runs after many years of sitting idle.

James and myself (Rick) spent 2 days in the Hawkes Bay Napier/Hastings region last week in the hope that we could be of assistance in the massive clean up, and to gain some perspective on the damage.
The scale of devastation is large to say the least!
We called in on several businesses and spoke to a lot of people.

Digging out a new driveway and roundabout on Gilligan's Gully Rd with the 3.5 tonne Bobcat Excavator (seen hiding in the background because it's a little shy) and laying some AP20 in preparation for asphalt.
