🚚 Hiab Truck & Trailer Operator – Christchurch 🚚

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Hiab truck and trailer operator to join our Christchurch-based team.

If you’re confident on the crane, take pride in your work, and want steady local work with good gear and a solid crew, this could be for you.

What you’ll be doing:
• Operating a Hiab truck and trailer
• Loading and unloading materials safely
• Deliveries and lifts around Christchurch and nearby areas
• Daily truck checks and general care of the vehicle
• Dealing professionally with customers and site staff

What we need from you:
• Class 4 or 5 licence - If you are class 4 you must be class 5 ready which we will fund for the right applicant.
• Hiab/Crane licence with real experience - If you dont have this we can help you obtain it.
• Good knowledge of load restraint and safe lifting
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Easy to get along with and able to work on your own

We're on the hunt for a new team member due to a member of the team leaving us for personal reasons. The ideal candidate would have some or all of the skills as listed below.

Class 5 minimum ( would look at a Class 4 full if your willing to learn and show interest in going up to the big gear.)
NZ citizen and can speak clear fluent english.
Experience in hiab work - hiab tickets would be a bonus.
Experience with bulk tippers.
Experience with flat deck and general freight work.
The ability to be flexible, work away from home with nights away from time to time.
Experience with operating diggers & forklifts where self loading may occur.

We offer a minimum 40 hr contract.

Hi all,

We’re on the hunt for some new team members to join our small transport family. All roles are full time minimum 40 hrs max of 70. These roles could also be filled by a gst registered contractor. All applicants will be considered, it would be best if you are based in Selwyn/ Rolleston or the greater chch area.

1x fleet serviceman/ diesel mechanic. Must have some basic knowledge of working on heavy trucks. I will upskill you if needed. This will be based at our Rolleston depot working on maintaining our fleet of 10 trucks and 15 trailers and various other items of plant.

1x class 5 driver with proof of experience on nz roads. This role is going to be mainly operating a quad flat deck unit transporting all sorts of general freight. You will be subject to tarping some loads and you will be asked to stay away from home on occasion how ever the run may pan out.

1x class 5 driver local chch based 80% of the time with some linehaul out of town required from time to time.
This role will be operating a rear mount Hiab.
A Swinglift trailer
A tipping unit.
Operating machines
Loading flat deck units
And various other tasks. A good general all rounder.
If you have Hiab experience/ a Hiab operators ticket, Swinglift experience, knowledge of operating diggers and machines then these attributes will be a big bonus to you. I will provided adequate training for any successful applicants.
