The smoke that thunders

Day 4 - Tuesday, 23 March 2027.

We depart camp at approximately 10:00 for a morning at Victoria Falls. Allow around one and a half to two hours to explore the viewpoints, feel the spray and stand before one of Africa's greatest natural wonders.

Victoria Falls entrance fees and lunch are for each traveller's own account.

Victoria Falls Waterfront

Victoria Falls Waterfront is our Livingstone base for three nights. The campground sits in lush, shaded gardens, while the property offers pools, a riverfront sundeck, restaurant, bar and an activity centre for exploring the region.

Day 3 - Monday, 22 March 2027.

We leave Elephant Sands, travel north through Kasane and cross from Botswana into Zambia at Kazungula. By afternoon we settle into camp at Victoria Falls Waterfront on the banks of the Zambezi.

Travellers are responsible for carrying the required passports, vehicle and trailer documentation.

After breakfast, we travel from Francistown to Elephant Sands, set up camp, and spend a relaxed afternoon taking in one of Botswana's most memorable wilderness settings.

Day 1 - Saturday, 20 March 2027.

Arrive at Woodlands Stop Over near Francistown, settle into camp and meet the travellers who will share the road ahead. Our first evening includes a welcome dinner and an important route, safety and border-crossing briefing.
