Panama is home to an astonishing diversity of frog species, with over 200 different species found within its borders. Among the most famous and iconic frogs in Panama are the colorful poison dart frogs. These tiny, vibrant frogs are known for their striking colors, which act as a warning to potential predators about their toxic skin secretions.

One of the most iconic species is the strawberry poison dart frog (Oophaga pumilio). This beautiful frog displays various bright colors, primarily red, orange, and blue. Panama is also home to the golden poison dart frog (Phyllobates terribilis), which holds the title of being the most poisonous frog in the world!
