Tough Situations - Fitting Measures

Though we all saw it coming, we can't yet back down but we can survive the fuel-hike all possibly so, through our behavioral adjustment.

Not only in this but to thrive under any given circumstance, one needs to employ certain survival strategies.

As per the circular from ICCC in response to the recent rise in fuel price, we choose to remain steadfast, thus compliant.

However, as the situation potentially has direct impacts on our operations, we request all our clients/customers and the general public who choose to ride with us to be considerate on the fares, to avoid possible inconveniences.

With the relatively dormant decline in the household purchasing power, now having coupled with this fuel-hike, its high time we reevaluate all personal priorities that would bring us regrets and misery subsequently.

Aside all else, we are at your disposal. Always.!

It's been quite a while since we last posted about customers successfully retrieving their items from our care.

Here is another mother, retrieving her phone that was with us for the last 3 days.

Its battery had long been depleted when it was reported to us by the driver.

Had it charged and upon switching it on, she called using a friend's phone.

She came by and claimed it with password verification.

At this juncture, we express our sincere regret to those who couldn't retrieve their items they reported having forgotten to fetch, while disembarking from our cabs.

We are doing our very best to improve on possible flaws & failures so much so that customer satisfaction is realised in all facets of our service.

Someone has expressed her feeling of gratitude towards one of our very committed and honest drivers, pouring her heart out into a nicely knitted word of appreciation, after having delivered her bag with its content, intact...............................................................................................

A massive word of appreciation goes out to this remarkable Comfort taxi driver!

I left my laptop bag in his cab while rushing to work this morning. He didn’t realise it was there until after his next drop-off, he checked my bag for my ID, tracked me down on Facebook via his wife’s account to let me know it was safe, and then drove all the way to my home to return it.

Comfort drivers are known for their honesty and integrity, and today I experienced that first-hand.

Those that are found by our drivers upon return from work, are kept safe, posted as such and are successfully retrieved by the legitimate owners.

Apologies to those whose have vanished into the thin air. In most cases, the following/next customers walk off disembarking with them.

Stealing is intentional and thus a criminal offence that entails its charges or consequences that the person commits it, suffers subsequently, either legally or naturally.

And it is from this stand-point that we serve with pride and purpose.

Police - NCD/Central Divisional Command has captioned a recent post on its page with the aforementioned words, "Blue Angels".

Captivating enough, the caption kept most readers under suspense as to which subject of the matter it actually was alluding to.

With our response/rescue team having trapped in the congestion along the Hubert Murray highway, the poor driver was not only rendered vulnerable but his situation posed a great risk to the heavy stream of traffic that uses that passage, daily.

It could have possibly been one of those nasty accidents registered to the month's statistics if it wasn't for ZPF-090. Hats off to you, the lone officer for the timely rescue.

The extent to which the hero has offered his hand is highly commendable. Getting off his car just so he literally pushes the cab out of the drive way, in the early hours of the day in his full suit is just beyond the bounds of normal policing, thus deserves our utmost gratitude.

Most good deeds, not only to us but generally in circumstances of such nature, go unnoticed but since this has trended the net today, we feel obliged to sincerely appreciate all the hardworking police officers.

Reacting to law violations with force has taken predominence in the force concerned, thereby instilling fear in the general public but a simple gesture of a true patriot is indeed a testament of hope that even an "Angel in Blue" can serve the force with pride and dignity.!

A formal apology

First, its with the deepest regret that we rest this humble apology with our clients/customers and the general public for the obscene behaviour of one of our drivers.

Second, despite his reasons being the involuntary need to relieve himself amid the bad weather & the delayed hold-up at the congestion, the management saw it fit to bar him from active driving immediately.

We regret the effect of this footage and apologize for any inconvenience, damage, harm or trauma that the same may have caused.

Though the conduct is more for a personal convenience than the company's reputation, with the former having no bearing on the latter, we deem it ethically responsible to remain remorseful for the violations of community standards & decency.

This has served as a reminder to all our drivers with the hope that any repetition would never unfold.

Realize, learn and press on

If God had divinely ensured all men to be perfect in certain aspects - living a decent life, earning lucratively with saving a few more bucks for auxiliary expenses after sending kids to AC schools, we all would lack the motivation to live to see the next day dawning.

Its the challenges & controversies that motivate us to make choices daily with the hope of a better tomorrow.

What we earn through formal employments are so scarce upon the realities of essential needs and personal wants, that the need to implement strategies focused on aggressive budgeting, increasing income through side hustles, or maximizing our values in the workplace, appears imperative.

In supplement, the nation's wealth imbalance has necessitated that we live where we can afford. From whence we go out to work yet in those fashion & style in keeping with our decorative professions.

While personal safety is a fundamental concern, the ensuing economic constraints have forced individuals and organizations to make tradeoffs where affordability supersedes safety.

However, the unnecessary chase on immediate gratifications has subtly cost us a lot, more than imaginable.

We blame the demises ascribed to our own bad habits on some witchcraft or wrong medical therapy.

One’s procrastination to persue easy-picking has taken a toll on his professionalism. The big-man syndrome has forced people to engage in dubious means for extra coins, just so they maintain their social, political or religious status-quo.

And here, aside most who earn the smooth rides home from all the day’s hustles & tussles, there is always this individual that slips that K5 back to his pocket for yet another bad-habit, smoke & betel-nut.

Flaws & failures are part of life. But defying the motivation by which to improve, realign and adjust to sail through the financial hurdles surely draws man’s recession nearer.

All in all, our relentless efforts in ensuring the safest transport service in town, are only intensifying. As equally as we are trusted, we are flexible to offer you the balance between your safety and affordability.

It all takes a decent approach to any nearby driver for a reliable ride home.

Moral Decadence

Accidents are inevitable. You don't forsee them, so you would pre-arrange a possible dodge. No.!

Though, it usually is ascribed to driving without due care & attention, accident does happen to anyone regardless.

Seen in the picture attached is a collision of one of our cabs with another private wagon, at the traffic light, Boroko Motors.

Facts surrounding the incident are/will be presented to the Traffic Police for formalities.

Luckily, non in either vehicle met his/her fate. But a few sustained some laceration and the others are expected to endure the trauma ensued.

The nasty accident aside, what clocked in with the 1st of Feb 2026 is surprisingly an indication of a significant decline in humanity & erosion of moral decency.

Such sarcastic captions & comments that carry hate feeling, infliction & oppression in situations like this are not part of our society.

These are blunt sarcasms at some victims' misery.....that carry potentials to do more psychological harm than what is already physically so.

However, the flip side holds true. Such attitude reflects the drastic decline in one's mind power to distinguish morality, in all its facets. When execration stands in the way of emphathy, moral decadence is at its peakest play.!

Jokes can be shared and mockeries made, in means fitting but not when someone actually suffers physical inflictions. No.!

Please, let's all refrain from all that we know will contribute to the drastic moral decline.
