Workshop Foreman- Oro Based
Savvana Constructions Ltd is seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman. He/She will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all mechanical maintenance, repairs, and servicing of plant, machinery, vehicles, and equipment used in civil and construction operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
⭕Supervise daily workshop activities including servicing, repairs, and maintenance of plant and vehicles.
⭕ Allocate work tasks to mechanics and workshop staff based on operational priorities.
⭕Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are developed and followed for all equipment's.
⭕Diagnose mechanical faults and coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
⭕Ensure all machinery, vehicles, and equipment's are maintained according to manufacturer specification.
⭕Maintain accurate workshop records including service logs, maintenance records, and repair reports
⭕Coordinate with the Branch Manager regarding plant availability and equipment deployment.
⭕Monitor equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions to reduce recurring issues.
⭕Ensure spare parts, tools, and workshop consumables are properly managed and accounted for .
QUALIFICATION
⭕Trade qualification in Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics, or Automotive Engineering.
⭕Minimum 5 year's experience in plant maintenance, heavy equipment's repairs, or construction machinery servicing.
⭕Experience working with civil construction equipment such as excavator, graders loaders, dump trucks, and crushers.
⭕Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
⭕Knowledge of heavy plant maintenance and repair procedures.
⭕Ability to supervise and coordinate workshop staff.
⭕Understanding of workshop safety procedures and operational compliance.
