The 6.9 magnitude earthquake violently shook Cebu, but its tragedy still grips the Northern municipalities. Many families are not just displaced; they are shattered, facing a critical shortage of food and clean water.

When our team reached the quake-stricken residents of Medellin, Cebu, we saw their desperation firsthand. Most residents were sheltered on the roadsides, holding up simple banners that pleaded for the most basic necessitiesโ€”food and water. We were able to deliver a small aid, praying it brought even a brief moment of comfort and relief from the overwhelming sadness and hopelessness that continued to clung onto them as of this moment.

This is an urgent effort to spread the truth: the residents of Northern Cebu are still in pain and still in need. We implore everyone with the capacity to help: please look beyond Bogo. The neighboring municipalities are just as broken, their people just as forgotten, and their need is just as critical.
