History helps us remember where we came from and how our country grew over time. Fort San Pedro, is one of the most famous landmarks in Cebu City. 🇵🇭

Fort San Pedro, or Fuerte de San Pedro in Spanish, was first built by the Spaniards under the command of Miguel López de Legazpi. It started as a wooden fort in 1565 to protect the people from attacks, and later it was rebuilt with stones to make it stronger. It is known as the oldest triangular fort in the Philippines.

Through our presentation, we shared how Fort San Pedro became part of many important events in history. It was once used as a defense base, a prison, a school, and now a museum that keeps old Spanish artifacts, documents, paintings, and sculptures. These show how rich our culture and history are as Filipinos.

Fort San Pedro is found along A. Pigafetta Street near Plaza Independencia in Cebu City. It is open daily from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with an entrance fee of ₱30 for adults and around ₱20–₱24 for students and senior citizens. Today, it is also used for special events like weddings, birthdays, and other gatherings.

Making this project helped us learn how important it is to protect and value our historical places. Even if we only visited it through pictures and videos, we understood how it tells the story of our past and how strong and brave our ancestors were.

We hope everyone continues to visit, learn, and appreciate places like Fort San Pedro — not just to look at the old walls, but to remember the stories they carry.
