TRAVEL TIP:
Practical list of what you need to prepare for Manila Immigration when traveling visa-free (like to Taiwan).
This applies to Filipino passport holders.
✅ 1. Valid Passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months from your travel date.
Passport should not be damaged.
✅ 2. Round-Trip Ticket
Immigration will always ask for:
Return flight ticket, or
Proof of onward travel within your allowed stay.
(It shows that you intend to return to the Philippines.)
✅ 3. Hotel Booking / Accommodation Details
They may ask:
Hotel confirmation (print or screenshot)
Airbnb booking
Address of where you will stay (if invited by a friend/relative)
✅ 4. Travel Itinerary
Not required, but VERY helpful to avoid long questions.
Example:
Daily plan (like the itinerary you prepared)
Places you will visit
Dates & expected expenses
✅ 5. Proof of Financial Capacity
This is where they sometimes ask more questions.
Prepare ANY of the following:
Bank statement (recent 1–3 months)
Bank certificate
Credit card + recent billing statement
Cash on hand (optional)
NOTE: You don’t need huge amounts; the goal is to show you can support yourself.
✅ 6. Work / Employment Documents
Immigration may ask for proof that you have strong ties to the Philippines.
Prepare:
Company ID
Certificate of Employment (COE)
Approved Leave Form / Email
Recent payslips (1–3 months)
For freelancers:
Proof of ongoing work
Upwork profile / invoices
Business permit (if applicable)
✅ 7. Travel Insurance (Optional but recommended)
Not required for visa-free destinations, but good to have.

Expect more questions. Prepare:
Purpose of travel
Who you’re traveling with (if meeting someone abroad)
How long you will stay
Answer briefly and confidently.
🔶 If someone is sponsoring your trip
Bring:
Sponsor letter
Sponsor’s ID
Sponsor’s bank proof

Prepare simple answers for:
Where are you going?
How long will you stay?
What do you do for work?
Who are you traveling with?
How much money do you have for this trip?
Be honest and consistent with your documents.
