This blogspace aims to share my personal and community bicycling/pedestrian/bi-modal and masstransport mini adventures. Explore Your City features my fleet-footed adventures on foot, on a bicycle and on mass transport. It is a collection of my usual bicycle commute routes, preferred bike-friendly nooks, cranky observations on pedestrian/bicyclist/commuter disrespect, poetry accompanied bike/pedestrian images. It is an attempt to present quirky, sometimes rant-filled, sometimes happy, sometimes desperate and but often hopeful side of what the actual on the ground conditions for pedestrians and bicyclists are in my beloved country. My own personal take on what I call my own "sustainable mobility" ev(e)olution.

Our PakikipagKapwa Sa Daan Session of the Green Transport Division - DPOS Bicycle Clinic at today's Carftee Sunday at Morato.

Happy Sunday, Quezon City!

Sama-samang nag-ehersisyo ang mga QCitizen sa Tomas Morato, ngayong Car-free, Carefree Sunday.

Sa pangunguna ng Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS), iba-ibang aktibidad ang inihanda para sa mga residente gaya ng free bike lessons, at zumba.

May libreng pet services din mula sa QC Veterinary Department.

Sa bisa ng City Ordinance 3345-2024, isinasara ang bahagi ng Tomas Morato mula Scout Rallos hanggang Don A. Roces Avenue tuwing Linggo, mula 6:00 AM hanggang 10:00 AM.

We supported the DPOS and Green Transport Division - DPOS today at Carfree Sunday Morato together with other sustainable transportation mobility advocates.

We handled the PakikipagKapwa Sa Daan Booth.

BUM/CycleBros handled the Basic Bike Maintenance and First Aid Booth while Cycad and PAD handled the bike handling mentoring.

We are supporting Carfree Sunday (September 27) at Tomas Morato convened by the DPOS Green Transport Division - DPOS

We will join CYCAD, BUM/CycleBros, Kalyetista, PAD, and other QC Bike Kapihan advocates for a Bicycle Clinic.

Carfree Sunday in Morato happens from 6am to 10am.

UPDATE / ROUTE CLARIFICATION

Thank you to everyone who pointed out in the comments that Roxas Boulevard is no longer implementing the Car-Free Sunday program. 🙏

We will still keep Roxas Boulevard in our route. 🚲

This ride is also our way of continuing the spirit of the World Car-Free Day celebration last Tuesday and hopefully, keeping the conversation going for more people-friendly streets in Metro Manila.

📍 STOPS
1️⃣ Roxas Boulevard — first stop
2️⃣ Ayala Car-Free — final stop
📍 Meet-up: McDo ForbesTown, BGC
⏰ Call Time: 5:45 AM
🚴 Ride Out: 6:00 AM

While Roxas Boulevard is no longer car-free, we hope that seeing cyclists and other road users continue using and advocating for these spaces, it will help keep the conversation alive and hopefully encourage the LGU to bring the program back.

Naka-attend muli ng monthly Bike Kapihan ng DPOS Green Transport Division - DPOS.

Tinalakay ang updates sa ilang bicycle lanes rehabilitation programs at ang upcoming National Bicycle Day.

Si Engr. Allan De Vera ng QC Planning Office naman ay nagpresent ng Walkability Program ng QC.

Mga kapwa advocates na grupo present: BUM/CycleBros, CYCAD, Dakila, Kalyetista,
Happy Pedal Project, 350.org, PAD, Senior Junior Bikers.
