At about 10:58 AM on June 3, 2026, personnel of the Sibulan Municipal Police Station (Sibulan MPS), under the leadership of PMAJ FORTUNATO S. VILLAFUERTE, Chief of Police, conducted a crime prevention awareness campaign and distributed Emergency Hotline 911 informational materials at Barangay Poblacion, Sibulan, Negros Oriental. The activity focused on the cyber security awareness, NTF-ELCAC campaign and safety tips, anti-illegal drug awareness, and the implementation of Ligtas SUMVAC 2026 to promote public safety and preparedness during the summer season. Discussions also highlighted laws on violence prevention, particularly Republic Act No. 7610 or the โ€œSpecial Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act,โ€ and Republic Act No. 8353 or the โ€œAnti-Rape Law.โ€ The activity aimed to enhance public awareness, strengthen community vigilance, and encourage residents to actively support peace and order initiatives through cooperation with the police and immediate reporting of emergencies through Hotline 911.
