We are looking for: ACCOUNTING MANAGER
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting and ensuring the company’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
The successful candidate will also be responsible to lead and motivate accounting staff members, increasing department accuracy and efficiency, and providing financial insights and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
● Exercise administrative control and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department
● Verify accounts payable and receivable vouchers, accounting entries, invoices, and validity of expenses
● Produce the company’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports or statements
● Prepare and ensure the timely and accurate release of employee salaries and wages, approved incentives, and bonuses
● Provide financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investment, pricing decisions/costing, and contract negotiations.
● Lead timely and accurate preparation and filing of all tax returns and other information as required by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
● Responsible for tax planning throughout the calendar year
● Coordinate and complete annual audits and maintain relations with external auditors, investigate their findings, and implement their recommendations.
● Ensure observance of all government regulatory requirements and audit compliance
● Represent the management in dealing with government and private entities with respect to the company’s financial matters
● Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
● Develop and streamline accounting processes to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls
● Pinpoint areas for cost reduction and profit improvement and provide recommendations.
● Report risk issues to top management
● Maintain banking relationships.
● Led the Team in the new system transfer and accounting clean-up project.
● Prepares monthly cash disbursement.
● Checks cash receipts submitted by Accounts Receivable Staff.
● Ensure complete and correct entry of records in the accounting system.
● Remits monthly contributions and loan payments to SSS, PHIC, HDMF.
● Prepares checks payments, cash advances, vouchers prior to approval of Managing Partners.
● Ensures timely liquidation and completeness of OR, supporting documents of all expenses.
● Schedule and plan release of account payables.
● Ensure timely collection of account receivables.
● Monitor and report monthly expenses of the organization.
● Ensure timely compliance and filling of government mandatory permits.
Qualifications
1. The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent and be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
2. Preferably at least 2 (two) year of work experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager.
3. Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, standards, and regulations.
4. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
5. Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
6. High attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
7. Experience in BIR audits is an advantage.
