Pakistan Single Window (PSW), the designated operator of the Pakistan Single Window System, and Maqta Technologies Group, the digital arm of AD Ports Group announced a strategic partnership agreement aimed at facilitating international trade through the implementation of innovative digital solutions by leveraging both organizations’ expertise in designing and implementing cutting-edge digital solutions.

In addition, the partnership will implement value-added services such as digital customs clearance, smart warehousing, risk management systems, eCommerce, cargo/port community systems, Single windows, trade finance, and predictive analytics for trade optimization and risk management. By utilizing advanced technologies, including AI, Blockchain, and IoT, the partnership aims to streamline trade processes, reduce delays, and improve transparency and regulatory compliance.

Based on the agreement, Maqta Technologies Group and Pakistan Single Window will focus on identifying and developing joint commercial opportunities in digital trade facilitation and logistics solutions worldwide, aiming to enhance compliance and secure trade transactions, while promoting environmentally sustainable trade practices through paperless documentation and carbon-efficient logistics.

Pakistan has launched its first-ever single-country exhibition, the ‘Made in Pakistan’ expo, in Jeddah, marking a significant milestone in strengthening trade ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The event, inaugurated by Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, features 137 companies from various industries, including textiles, sports goods, food, and construction materials.

Khan emphasized the potential for greater economic cooperation, focusing on sectors like food security, energy, mining, and human resources.

He also highlighted the role of the 2.7 million-strong Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia and expressed confidence in Pakistan’s contributions to FIFA 2034.

The minister urged businesses from both countries to explore joint ventures targeting regional markets, aiming to expand opportunities for mutual growth.

کراچی ( سہیل افضل )کسٹمز میں متعارف کرائے گئے فیس لیس سسٹم کو ناکام بنانے والے کسٹمز افسر کو معطل کر دیا گیا، تفصیلات کے مطابق کسٹمز سے کرپشن کے خاتمے اور کلیئرنس کے نظام کو شفاف اور تیزرفتار بنانے کے لئے وزیر اعظم کی ہدایت پر ایف بی آر نےکسٹمز میں فیس لیس سسٹم متعارف کرایا ہے کچھ ہفتے قبل وزیر اعظم پاکستان نے کراچی آکر اس کا افتتاح کیا تھا ،اس سسٹم کے تحت کسٹمز اپریزر افسران کا درآمد کندگان اور ایجنٹ کا براہ راست رابطہ ختم کر دیا گیا،جس سے کرپٹ افسران اور ان کے معاون کسٹمز ایجنٹس پریشان تھے،کسٹمز ذرائع کے مطابق فیس لیس سسٹم میں تعینات ہونے والے اپریزر نے ایک جانب اچھی شہرت رکھنے والی کمپنیوں کی کنسائمنٹ کلیئرنس میں دانستہ تاخیر کرنا شروع کردی دوسری جانب انھوں نے کچھ کسٹمز ایجنٹس اور پرائیویٹ افراد(لپو) کے ذریعے چند اہم درآمدات کے الگ الگ واٹس ایپ گروپ بنائے جوکہ درآمد کندگان سے رابطہ کرتے اور معاملات طے کرنے لگے تھے،کسٹمز ذرائع کے مطابق چیف کلکٹر کو ملنے والی شکایات کے بعد ایک اپریزنگ افسر کے ڈرائیور اور دیگر کے ٹیلی فونز کی فرانسک چیکنگ کی گئی جس سے کئی و اٹس ایپ گروپ بنائے جانے کا انکشاف ہوا، تحقیقات میں یہ بات بھی سامنے آئی کہ ان گروپس کے ذریعے اسکریپ، پرانے کپڑے،کراکری اور آٹو پارٹس وغیرہ کے شعبے میں معاملات طے کر کے اسپیڈ منی وصول کی جار رہی تھی، چیف کلکٹر کی ابتدائی رپورٹ پر ایف بی آر نے ایک کسٹمز اپریزنگ افسر محمد اسماعیل کو فوری معطل کر نے کا نوٹی فیکشن جاری کر دیا ہے ،جبکہ تحقیقات کا دائرہ ایجنٹس اور دیگر اپریزنگ افسران تک بڑھا دیا گیا ہے ،ذرائع کے مطابق کسٹمز اسکینڈل میں ملوث کسٹمز ایجنٹس کے لائسنس معطل کرنے کی کاروائی بھی کی جارہی ہے۔
