TWADO's Background:
TWADO is a non-profit, non-governmental & community based humanitarian organization. It came into existence on 16th Dec, 2012 & registered in Dec 2013, under the Voluntary Social Welfare & Registration Control Ordinance 1961 having Registration No. The organizational structure of the organization comprising on the EB, GB & BOD. The formation of the organization was the outcome
of the village youngsters with the aim to upgrade the socio-economic status of deprived communities & to improve the living standard of the people in Maidan District Dir Lower. TWADO works for the development of the marginalized communities of the target area. Since its inception, TWADO has been working to address community needs & tried to give rapid response on community problems. TWADO has a close coordination and linkages with people who extend their voluntary support in their respective fields. TWADO believes to address development issues collectively. For that purpose it has linkages with other organization having same or similar objectives to those of TWADO at local and national levels. Keeping in view, valuable and long-term association with communities, Government, local CCBs & CBOs, TWADO is well aware of the prevailing situation, needs & problems of the people of District Dir Lower. TWADO has also the capacity of need identification, participatory planning, implementation, monitoring of the developmental works. Takatak Welfare and Development Organization (TWADO) - Aims & Objectives:
To ensure the qualitative & quantitative education. To provide the basic health facilities to the people. To work on hygiene education to aware the people about the hazardous diseases & their effects on their health. To work on water & sanitation in order to ensure the access of the people to safe drinking water & to discourage open defecation to stop diarrhea and to contribute to the environmental cleanliness. to preserve the old species (birds/animals) and introduce the new ones in the locality. To protect the rights of all human beings especially children & women. To ensure sustainable development by utilization of natural resources, human resources as well as community participation. To work on peace building. To manage the risk disaster & emergencies. To work on social & political problems. To work on paralyzed and handicapped people to make them able to live a dignified life. To work on women-folk to equip them with various skills to make them self-reliance in the decision-making process. To contribute to the millennium development goals (MDGs). To work on various campaign i.e. Polio, family-planning, human-trafficking. To engage itself in almost all the activities directed towards the social welfare department. Activities Accomplished:

Completed water supply schemes for the village mosque. Bought JD Generator for the village mosque
Promotion of health and Hygiene activates in the area
Promotion and encouragement of education in the area
Social Work i.e repairing roads, streets and supporting the needy
Seminar on women rights and child rights. Distribution of sewing machines among the most vulnerable women of the area
Promotion of healthy sport activities in Dir Lower
Capacity building of CBOs ,CCBs & youngsters on hygiene promotion. Session on IDDs
