We never expected that we would ever have to post this message
We were convinsed that our Highland ponies were assured of a good life until the end of their lives in their own place at Manoah stud, where they have been living together for 25 years. Unfortunately, the truth is different and sadly they have to leave their familiar place.
We appeal to the Highland pony community to join us in finding a good place were they can spend the rest of their lives.
The 4 oldest ponies are all 27 yo, two of them, Rhum of Puth and Daisy of Carlung, have worn teeth and will have a hard time this winter and therefore probably be euthanized. The two other mares, Molly of Tormore and Glenmuir April, are still in a reasonable good condition considering their age.
The two geldings Gawron and Olik of Manoah are 21 and 23 yo and in good health. All our ponies are used to live in a herd and live outside 24/7. All are very friendly and gentle, great ponies to spend time with and to enjoy.They could also mean a lot for therapy use.
A place for all 4 together would be perfect or in pairs mares or geldings.

Wij hadden nooit verwacht dat we ooit dit bericht zouden moeten plaatsen. Wij waren ervan overtuigd dat onze pony's tot het einde van hun leven op hun eigen plek konden blijven, daar waar ze al 25 jaar samen leven. Helaas is de werkelijkheid anders en moeten de pony's weg van de voor hun zo vertrouwde plek.
Wij doen een beroep op de Highland pony gemeenschap om met ons mee te denken om een plek voor ze te vinden.
De 4 oudste zijn 27 jaar, Rhum of Puth en Daisy of Carlung hebben een versleten gebit en zullen het daarom erg zwaar krijgen in de winter en het lijkt ons beter ze voor die tijd te euthaniseren. De 2 andere merries Molly of Tormore en Glenmuir April zijn, zeker gezien hun leeftijd, nog in een redelijk goede conditie en het voelt daarom niet goed om ze nu al te laten euthaniseren.
De ruinen Olik en Gawron of Manoah zijn 23 en 21 jaar oud en in een goede gezondheid. De pony's zijn gewent om in een kudde te leven en zijn 24/7 buiten. Ze hebben een superlief en rustig karakter geweldige pony's om je tijd mee door te brengen maar ook als therapie paard zouden ze nog veel kunnen betekenen. Een plek voor alle 4 samen zou natuurlijk perfect zijn of in tweetal merries of ruinen. Mochten jullie iets weten dan horen wij dat graag. Voor verdere informatie stuur dan even een privébericht.
