We will reflect on passages such as Proverbs 3:5–6, Isaiah 26:3–4, and Tehillim (Psalms) 34:18, discovering how YAH comforts, strengthens, and guides those who seek HIM. Whether you are walking through a season of loss, emotional pain, uncertainty, or simply need encouragement, I pray this message reminds you that YAH is faithful and that HIS Word continues to be a light in times of darkness.

: if God discouraged numbering Israel in some contexts, why does the Book of Revelation mention exactly 144,000 people?
A few points are worth separating:
David's sin wasn't simply counting people.
In the Old Testament, particularly in the account of the census in 2 Samuel 24, David was judged because the census reflected pride, reliance on military strength, or disobedience to God's instructions—not because numbers themselves were forbidden. In fact, God commanded censuses at other times, such as in Book of Numbers.
The number 144,000 appears only in Revelation.
The figure comes from Book of Revelation chapters 7 and 14. It is described as 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Israel (12 × 12,000 = 144,000).
Interpretations differ.
Some Christians take the 144,000 literally as a specific group of Israelites.
Others see it symbolically. Revelation is filled with symbolic numbers: 7, 12, 24, 1,000, and so on. In this view, 144,000 (12 × 12 × 1,000) represents the complete people of God rather than a headcount.
Some groups build major doctrines around the idea that only 144,000 people receive a particular heavenly reward, but that interpretation is not accepted by all Christians.
The Old Testament does not contain a prophecy saying, "There will be 144,000 saved people."
You are correct that you will not find Yahweh (or Yahuwah, as some pronounce the name) stating in the Old Testament that only 144,000 people will belong to Him.
An interesting observation is that immediately after the 144,000 are mentioned in Revelation 7, the author describes "a great multitude which no man could number" from every nation. Many readers argue that this makes it difficult to use the passage as proof that God's redeemed people are limited to only 144,000.
So if your question is, "Did Yahuwah ever say in the Old Testament that there would be exactly 144,000 of His people?" the answer is no. That specific number comes from Revelation, and Christians disagree about whether it should be understood literally or symbolically.
