Cruising together into a better future for all Puerto Ricans.

A more inclusive journey begins with greater understanding. 🌻

San Juan Cruise Port is proud to launch the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program, a globally recognized initiative that allows passengers with non-visible disabilities to discreetly indicate that they may need additional time, assistance, or understanding while traveling through our terminals.

As part of the program, our team members received awareness training, and Sunflower lanyards will be available to passengers at designated locations. This initiative represents another important step in our commitment to providing a welcoming, accessible, and respectful experience for every passenger who comes through our port.

This is what it means to build a port experience grounded in compassion, dignity, and care.

Preparing for the season takes more than infrastructure. It takes coordination.

Last week, the Puerto Rico Ports Authority organized the High Season 2026–2027: Operational Readiness Interagency Meeting. Hosted at SJCP’s Pan American Pier West, PRPA brought partners together to review operational plans, priorities, and preparations for the months ahead.

Based on the preliminary schedule currently available, San Juan is projected to welcome approximately 1.29 million passengers through 541 cruise calls between October 2026 and April 2027, including both transit and homeport operations.

Representatives from the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, U.S. Coast Guard, NTSP, Puerto Rico Police, and shipping agents also participated, contributing their respective operational perspectives as we aligned efforts for the upcoming cruise season.

From port operations and passenger movement to safety, security, and overall destination readiness, these conversations are essential to ensuring that every agency understands the plan and the role we each play when our piers get busy.

The work happening across our facilities is only one part of the equation. Strong coordination among the public- and private-sector partners who support cruise operations is what allows Puerto Rico to deliver a safe, efficient, and welcoming experience for our guests and cruise line partners.

As always, we thank the Puerto Rico Ports Authority and all the public and private sector stakeholders who participated for the planning, collaboration, and shared commitment to Puerto Rico.

Another season ahead, and we’re cruising into it together. 🇵🇷⚓️

San Juan is, once again, ready to welcome the cruise industry at home! 🌴🚢

The FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show returns to Puerto Rico October 12–16, 2026, bringing cruise executives, industry leaders and partners from across the Caribbean, Latin America and beyond together in our homeport city.

For us at San Juan Cruise Port, this one hits differently. We have the privilege of welcoming the industry not only to the destination, but to the port that connects ships, guests, partners and our city throughout the year.

And when the meetings are over, we’ll be ready to show everyone how San Juan celebrates. 🎶✨ As hosts of this year’s Cultural Night, we look forward to sharing the energy, flavor and hospitality that make Puerto Rico an unforgettable cruise destination.

We thank Puerto Rico Governor Jenniffer González Colón; Puerto Rico Tourism Company Executive Director Willianette Robles; Puerto Rico Ports Authority Executive Director, Lcdo. Norberto Negrón; and FCCA President Adam Ceserano for the invitation to be part of this important announcement and for their continued efforts to advance the cruise industry in Puerto Rico and throughout the Caribbean.

See you soon in San Juan!

Today, on International Youth Day, we’re thinking back to a very special visit from Clemson University students and professors who joined us at San Juan Cruise Port as part of the SSA Education Abroad Summer Program.

These bright young minds studied in San Juan during the summer before beginning their college journey, exploring how culture, identity, history, tourism, and international business come together in real-world spaces like ours. During their time at the port, they brought fresh perspective and thoughtful curiosity. We spoke about everything from the impact of cruise passengers on the surrounding community to infrastructure capacity, economic development, investments, and the many moving parts behind the cruise industry.

Their questions reminded us why opening our doors to students matters. Cultural exchange is not only about sharing what we do, but also about seeing our work through new eyes.

As Clemson University begins move-in week, we congratulate these students on this exciting next chapter. It was an honor to welcome them, share our industry, and see them leave San Juan Cruise Port happy, engaged, and interested in the possibilities of a future in tourism, port operations, and global business.

Here’s to the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and changemakers. 💙
