Alfenim (Pulled white sugarpaste sweets- ilha da Terceira) was a favorite when I was a child. When anyone came to visit from Terceira and brought me some you would think I won the lottery. Of course I went on the hunt when I went to Terceira. The only place I was able to find it was at Pastelaria Athanasio on Rua Da Se. They have delicious pastries as well.

Restaurante Alcides is a very nice restaurant in downtown Ponta Delgada. I had the octopus stew and it was delicious. They are also known to make a very good steak. Definitely recommend.
