Some random thoughts… It’s really interesting how the image we have of ourselves can be totally different from how others see us. Like… every person probably has a slightly different version of us in their mind. Someone might see you as confident, while you’re constantly questioning yourself. Someone might think you’re incredibly strong, even though you know how many times you’ve broken down. Someone might see you as beautiful, interesting, funny, or inspiring… while you don’t see yourself that way at all. And then some people see you completely differently. So how can we have such a clear opinion of others, but never really see ourselves the same way? It actually reminds me of hearing my own voice in a recording. 😂 I know that’s my voice, but it doesn’t sound like me. Maybe it’s the same with how people see us. We’re so used to the version of ourselves that exists in our own head, that when someone describes us differently, it almost feels like they’re talking about someone else. And maybe that’s why it’s sometimes good to see ourselves through someone else’s eyes. Not because their version is necessarily more true than ours, but because it’s also a valid version of us. Maybe we’re too hard on ourselves. Maybe we don’t give ourselves enough credit. Maybe someone else sees something in us that we simply haven’t learned to see yet. And I think that’s pretty beautiful. So… how do you think other people see you compared to how you see yourself? Like how Sérgio Alves saw me. Thanks for the great images of me🙏🏻
