Meet Marian, Head of Project Management Department, part of our team in Romania.
"When I joined DMT in 2006, it was already a well-established company, built by a visionary team. I'll never forget the warm welcome I received. Back then, we worked from two interconnected apartments, focusing on in-house design while manufacturing was outsourced.
Looking back, it's incredible to see how far we've come. What began with in-house engineering and outsourced manufacturing has evolved into a fully integrated operation. Today, DMT can manufacture every component of a winch in-house, a major milestone that reflects 25 years of continuous growth, investment, and the dedication of the people who made it possible.
Twenty years in the same company seems like ages for the new generations as they are more flexible to change jobs every few years. But how can you leave something that is growing together with you?
Every day, in DMT, I had the chance to do work I enjoy, the kind of work that challenges me and pushes me to grow.
From the apartment on Melodiei Street, where we used to wait each morning for someone to open the office, to the villa in Vadul Sacalelor with its uneven floors, and later to our current headquarters, DMT has continuously changed.
And with it, my work has changed too. Each stage brought something new: different challenges, new ways of working, new people, and constant opportunities to learn. Looking back, it honestly feels like I’ve worked in twenty different companies over time.
When I joined in, HR couldn't find the Project Manager title in the official job classifications so, for administrative purposes, we were registered as Program Directors. I still remember laughing with my colleague Catalin, who had a PRO TV hoodie at the time, that with job titles like ours we practically sounded like we worked in television. 😂
Over time, both the role and the people around it have evolved. Today, I look with pride at how others admire DMT’s Project Management team."
