Across Agusan del Norte, Iloilo, and Bohol, FLS Philippines delivered ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ– ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ž๐ฅ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐ž๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ weighing up to 42 tonnes, developing tailor-made solutions around the requirements of each route and operating environment.

In Agusan del Norte, purpose-built jacking and skidding systems supported the controlled positioning of critical equipment, while Iloilo called for detailed coordination of the largest shipment among the three projects. Further east, in Bohol, an additional inter-island transport leg created a multi-stage transition between sea and road logistics, making multimodal planning central to the delivery process.

Through these tailored approaches, the team successfully executed three complex operations across diverse condition, ensuring each BESS component reached site safely and was ready for installation and commissioning. The work reinforces the role of specialized logistics in enabling critical energy infrastructure, as we apply our expertise to support a more stable, resilient, and sustainable power network in the Philippines.

Supporting the people behind our operations goes beyond the workplace. On March 27, our FLS Philippines team gathered at the Harton office for its Q1 "Chikahan sa Hapag Kainan," centered on UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being.

Danny L. Barrera, President and CEO of Golden Axel Cargo, opened with a talk on what it takes to stay physically and mentally steady while running a trucking operation day to day. Reinforcing those ideas, the program moved into recognition for top performers, a welcome for new hires joining Operations and Customs, and the launch of the FLS Step Up Club, a Strava-tracked initiative requiring two logged activities per week and participation in the monthly Aseana run, walk, or bike meet-up.

Conversations about well-being are valuable, but lasting impact comes from turning awareness into action. That perspective was evident throughout the gathering, giving employees a practical, ongoing way to invest in their health, and in each other, together.

For an ongoing development of metal manufacturing, ๐…๐‹๐’ ๐“๐ก๐š๐ข๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ recently coordinated a shipment of ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐ž๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐’๐ซ๐ข๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ก๐š ๐‡๐š๐ซ๐›๐จ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฃ๐จ๐› ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐ง๐  ๐˜๐š๐ข, ๐‚๐ก๐จ๐ง๐›๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข. The cargo mix consisted of 241 packages totaling 5,069 CBM, with both in-gauge and out-of-gauge units requiring a tailored handling method to meet the delivery timeline without compromising cost efficiency.

The team employed two 50 MT cranes for indirect lifting alongside the vessel, with four 12-meter flatbed trailers running shuttle operations, bringing the planned ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’-๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐š๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” through close coordination with the vessel stevedore team. From there, ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ“ ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐œ๐ค๐ฌ ๐จ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐š๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐œ๐ฅ๐จ๐œ๐ค to move all units to the project site, with full delivery completed within three days.

Beyond transportation support, FLS Thailand also provides ๐๐Ž๐ˆ ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐œ๐ž for imported industrial machinery, helping clients navigate often complex import requirements and documentation processes.

Taken together, the operation highlights how coordinated ex*****on across port operations, transportation, and compliance support can align multiple workstreams from arrival at port through final delivery.

Drawing on APAC operational realities, she noted that many disputes can be traced back to customs declarations, sanctions compliance, or contract structures. As Jennifer explained: โ€œGRC is not just a compliance function. The decisions made across governance, due diligence, contracts, and operations can have major consequences when disputes arise.โ€

The discussion also highlighted the increasing complexity of arbitration across the region. With different legal systems and enforcement environments at play, companies need clear principles while adapting to local requirements. Jennifer emphasized that effective dispute management depends on strong controls being embedded in day-to-day operations.

Special News returns from the Philippines with an operation where the route became part of the solution.

As part of the Meralco PowerGen Corporation (MGEN) solar project, the team completed the transport of 20 high-capacity power transformers from China to the Philippines, a mission tied directly to strengthening the Luzon grid and expanding renewable energy infrastructure at a national level.

Bridge assessments and structural load studies spanning four provinces determined the viability of the transport corridor. Where infrastructure fell short of the required load thresholds, bypass roads were constructed and critical sections reinforced through months of coordination with local government units, the DPWH (Department of Public Works and Highways), and NLEX (North Luzon Expressway).

Since 100% electric trucks became part of our operations, we have seen increasing attention around how these systems perform in practice, from range consistency and charging coordination to how they integrate into existing delivery schedules without disruption.

At FLS, electrification is not treated as a single transition point. It is an ongoing operational shift, shaped by continuous learning in the field and adjustments in how we plan and execute transport activities. We also see this as part of a wider industry move from pilot adoption to full operational integration, where the focus is less on proving viability and more on refining performance in complex, real-world conditions.

For two separate shipments out of Vietnam, one bound for Brisbane and one for Noumea, FLS Vietnam and Australia jointly developed tailor-made solutions that minimized both customer's expenses without compromising either schedule.

The core challenge was alignment across two destinations and delivery schedules, under rising freight costs and limited vessel availability. FLS Vietnam consolidated both under a single Multi-Purpose (MPP) vessel charter, balancing three constraints: crane capacity, commercial viability for both clients, and synchronized loading windows.

The Brisbane-bound 180 metric ton vessel bow was delivered through an end-to-end engineered ex*****on, beginning with hydraulic jacking for weight verification and lift preparation at the HCMC shipyard. It then continued on SPMTs onto a chartered barge, followed by shifting to anchorage.

The New Caledonia cargo ran in parallel, with six iron ore barges towed from another shipyard to the same vessel at the nearby Saigon River anchorage position.

Taken together, this project demonstrates how we turn complexity into cost-efficient results by tying engineering, planning, and ex*****on into a coordinated workflow.

Closing out a memorable three days at !

A year does not feel large while you are living through it. Returning to Rotterdam made it easier to see just how far our Group has come.

As the lights came up on a larger stand this year, visitors found an FLS that had grown in the breadth of its services and in the role it now plays, culminating in being named the winner of the Sustainable Excellence in Logistics Award.

Many of the discussions from the show floor are only just beginning, and we look forward to seeing where they lead.
