Little Red Dot Buses

Little Red Dot Buses Enter the chapters of life involving buses in Singapore, our 'little red dot'. As such, all opinions and views written are that purely of the author.

Focused on providing a place for the public to gain information and facts about buses which they have missed out. Little Red Dot Buses was initially a blog, set up in 2010 entitled "Chapters of the Little Red Dot Buses", providing updates on bus services, bus fleet and also giving review on certain bus services and ascertaining their reliability. In 2012, Little Red Dot Buses has created a Faceboo

k page as an immediate platform for people to reach news faster and easier. It also will display photos of buses from the past and present, and facts will be provided about significant events every now and then. Little Red Dot Buses will also regularly update its blog to provide in-depth coverage of bus service events for its readers. Currently, Little Red Dot Buses will provide service updates pertaining to Singapore, with photos of buses from Singapore, and occasionally Malaysian buses in Singapore and when Singapore buses are in Malaysia. On the 30th of January 2015, Little Red Dot Buses sets up its Instagram account to provide instant updates to its fans. A Gmail account has also been launched to interact more with the readers and fans of the page, and get you to submit any ideas or comments to the e-mail. TIBS was formed in 1982 to provide competition to SBS, with services launched in 1983. It was rebranded as SMRT Buses in 2004.

After thinking for months whether to keep on posting on Facebook, I have decided that there will be no new Facebook photos posted until further notice effective 25 August 2022.

Not to worry, the page would not be de-activated. All newer posts will be re-shared posts from other pages.

My activity on Facebook has declined rapidly over the years, with the main use not for content creation. You can however follow Little Red Dot Buses on Instagram, where I am more active https://www.instagram.com/littlereddotbuses/.

Contemplating setting up a proper YouTube too so will update over time.

Additionally, as I am based overseas at the moment, you can support my Australian-based bus Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/busesdownunder/ if you’d like.

Thank you so much for the support you’ve given on Facebook since 1 July 2012 (typo in image but lazy to edit). it’s been wonderful. None of the success here or on Facebook would have been possible without you.

It’s not the end, but it’s a shift in what my account will be used for.

Thank you for your support, for the likes, shares, comments on my content. It means a lot!

SG1044E on Service 858 in 2017, back when both the bus and route were under SMRT Buses. The years from 2016/2017 to 2021 saw most of Service 858 fleet flooded with SG-plated Citaros.

The bus is now with SBS Transit, permanently deployed on Cross-Border routes with the Malaysian APAD registration. The front has been painted in SBS Transit corporate colours. Sadly the dress rims have been removed.

On a side note, masks are no longer required in airports and selected airlines to/from Singapore from 29 August 2022. However, they are still needed in buses, trains, air-conditioned indoor bus interchanges/MRT stations and healthcare facilities. 😷
