Hello! The MMA is honored to participate in the holy Buddhist holiday of Khoa Pansa, also known as Buddhist Lent Day, in Ubon Ratchathani Province. This event is organized by Isan MICE, the northeastern regional office of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, to promote new business event destinations along the Mekong River.

Our first stop is Wat Sri Pardu, where the main chapel showcases a blend of architectural styles, featuring a Thai gable alongside Chinese design elements.

At the entrance, visitors are greeted by a stunning hand-painted mural that beautifully reflects light on the floor.

Next, we observe the principal Buddha image, inspired by Wat Phutthachinarat in Phitsanulok Province. This image is cast in gold, funded by public donations.

Additionally, the ceiling is adorned with paintings depicting various postures of the Buddha, illustrating the deep faith of Thai Buddhists in their religion.

Ubon Ratchathani boasts excellent infrastructure and is well-prepared to host global business events.

Hello! The MMA is taking a journey back to the time of Emperor Woraman VII, who constructed remarkable sanctuaries from hand-cut sandstone. He built four grand sanctuaries in a straight line, beginning with Pimai and Phnom Rung in the Siamese kingdom and extending to Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

The Pimai sandstone sanctuary serves as the primary structure of the Khmer Empire for state ceremonies. It features many exquisite hand-carved stone gables, walls, and columns.

This sanctuary is a key attraction in Korat and marks the starting point of the Samanaka journey.
