Thailand… what a beautiful chapter. 🇹🇭❤️

And just like that, after three incredible weeks, it was time to leave Phuket and head home to Abu Dhabi. ✈️🇦🇪

We've laughed, explored, eaten A LOT 😂, made memories, faced a few unexpected challenges, discovered beautiful places and watched our boys experience so many new things.

Phuket. Krabi.

Three weeks that gave us stories we'll be telling for years.

As much as we loved Thailand, there really is something special about coming home. ❤️

Abu Dhabi, we're back! 🇦🇪

Our final hotel in Thailand… and what a way to end the trip! 🇹🇭❤️

After three weeks of travelling as a family through Phuket and Krabi, we made our way back to Kamala for our final few days.

We've shared quite a few hotel experiences from this trip, so this time we're giving you our honest family review.

What did we think of the room? The location? The overall experience? Would we stay again?

🎗️ PLEASE HELP US SUPPORT MY NIECE RETHABILE IN HER FIGHT AGAINST AML 🎗️

Rethabile’s life changed in July 2026 when she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

Before this diagnosis, she was flourishing at school, focused on her education, her dreams and the future she was building for herself. Now, instead of being in the classroom and enjoying life with her friends and family, she has had to put her life and education on hold to undergo intensive chemotherapy and treatment.

She is currently receiving treatment at Netcare Pretoria East, and the journey has been incredibly difficult — physically, emotionally and financially.

Her medical aid and savings do not cover all the costs of her treatment, medication, transfusions and ongoing care. We are therefore hoping to raise R50,000 to help Rethabile through this journey and give her the support she desperately needs.

One of those evenings you wish you could bottle up and keep forever.

We started with a relaxing Thai massage, watched a beautiful sunset, then headed for dinner overlooking the ocean while enjoying an incredible fire show.

Nothing rushed. Just good food, beautiful views, family time and another reminder of how special travelling together can be.

Another beautiful evening in Thailand. ❤️

We took the family on a 4-island adventure around Krabi… and I'm still deciding whether it was worth it!

The views were incredible, the water was beautiful, and the kids had an absolute adventure.
But there were definitely a few moments that made us question our decision! 😅

And then there was one island that completely stole the show…

I'm going to share the whole experience over the next few videos—including our favourite island and whether we'd actually recommend doing this tour with kids.

❤️ Not every great travel memory comes from a famous attraction.

Some come from simply wandering the streets together.

After our visit to the elephant shelter, we spent the evening exploring Ao Nang. Hubby bravely got a haircut from a lady barber for the first time, we collected personalised passport covers for future adventures, and although dinner wasn't quite what we'd hoped for, the night more than made up for it

Watching Phophi confidently take the microphone to sing while Phathu and hubby danced their hearts out had us laughing from start to finish.

These are the moments we'll remember long after the holiday is over—not because they were perfect, but because we experienced them together. ❤️

Railay Beach... what an unforgettable day!

We started the morning with Phathu giving out high-fives and making new friends before heading to the pier for our next adventure.

The long-tail boat to Railay Beach costs 200 baht per person for a return trip, and children under 3 years travel free, making it a great family outing.

From breathtaking scenery and cheeky monkeys to family dancing, delicious food, and quality time together, this was one of those days that reminded us why we love travelling as a family.

If you're staying in Ao Nang, I highly recommend adding Railay Beach to your itinerary. It's beautiful, easy to reach, and perfect for creating lasting memories.

Some of the best holiday memories happen after the sun goes down.

We spent the evening at Ao Nang Landmark Night Market, and it was easily one of the highlights of our time in Krabi.

There was something for everyone! Delicious street food, fresh sushi, sea grapes (a first for Phophi! 😄), kids' games, fire shows, Muay Thai, traditional Thai performances, a fantastic live band, and even cocktails for only 99 baht.

The best part? Watching our family sing, dance, laugh together, and simply enjoy being present in the moment.

By the end of the night, little Phathu had danced himself to sleep... and honestly, we don't blame him! 😂❤️

If you're visiting Krabi, make sure you add Ao Nang Landmark Night Market to your itinerary. You won't regret it! 🌴🇹🇭

This looked like the perfect family photo... until it wasn't! 😂🐘

Today we visited the Krabi Elephant Shelter, where we had the incredible opportunity to feed and learn about these amazing animals.

The boys absolutely loved every minute of it, and seeing their excitement made the experience even more special.

Then, while we were all smiling nicely for a family photo... the elephant suddenly trumpeted loudly and blew through its trunk. 😅

Instantly, our calm family photo turned into everyone running in different directions! 🤣
Looking back, it's one of those unexpected moments that made our trip even more memorable.

Seeing our holiday through our children's eyes makes it even more special. ❤️

We asked Phophi (11) to review Holiday Inn Resort Surin Beach in Phuket, and let's just say... he was SOLD from the very first waterslide! 😂

Free ice cream, giant pools, arcade games, a movie theatre, new friends from around the world, and so many family-friendly activities made this a holiday he'll remember for a long time.

Sometimes the best reviews come from the little travellers. 😊
