Interesting finding from the territory of the National Nature Park "Nyzhnyodniprovskyi" in Kherson region - Leucojum aestivum L. from "The Red Data Book of Ukraine"! This population in the mouth of Dnipro river is well-known for botanists from Kherson town and has been firstly found by Jozef Paczoski in the early 20th century. The observations from this location was published on iNat yesterday by Viktoria Dzerkal and Anastasia Davydova.

Two very interesting observations were made this month by George Bondarenko on chalk outcrops of Vovcha river in Kharkiv region: Daphne sophia Kalen. and Euphorbia sareptana A. Becker. Daphne sophia is an endemic for East Europaean Upland shrub including in "The Red Data Book of Ukraine". The area of distribution of this species consists of several fragments with chalk slopes in Kharkiv region of Ukraine and in Belgorod and Voronezh regions of Russian Federation. There are four locations of Daphne sophia in Ukraine now and the one of them was confirmed recently. Euphorbia sareptana (also known in Ukraine as E. tanaitica Pacz.) is locally distributed East-Europaean and Caucasic steppe plant on the northern and western borders of its range; it was firstly documented by photos on iNaturalist!

Two days ago iNat user mikedrebet with his colleague Inna Odukalets discovered the fern-leaf peony (Paeonia tenuifolia L.) on the territory of the National Nature Park "Podilski Tovtry". This wonderful plant from "The Red Data Book of Ukraine" was firstly found in the western part of the Forest-Steppe zone and is new for Khmelnytskyi region!

Gagea novoascanica Klokov - a little-known and probably endemic species for the Northern Black Sea region of Ukraine. In spite of its name this plant is absent in "Askania-Nova" Reserve and has been previously found in Chornomorsky Biosphere Reserve only. About a month ago iNat user davydovbotany (Denis Davydov) discovered it on the territory of National Nature Park "Dzharylhatskyi" in Kherson region, so it is the first observation of Gagea novoascanica on iNaturalist!

The first finding of Gymnocarpium robertianum (Hoffm.) A. Newman in Kyiv city! This rare fern species is distributed mainly in western regions of Ukraine and in the Crimean Mountains. It was found yesterday by Oleksandr Levon and is probably casual alien plant in Kyiv.
