Recent Yamaha Outboards repower we performed. In and out in one day. We picked up the boat first thing in the morning at the customers house removed the worn out HPDI and installed a brand new Yamaha 200SHO. Delivered it to ramp in time for the Wednesday night derby.

Top to bottom for this Yamaha F300. Lack of professional service for more than 10 years made for a big job. After we were called out for a service we found a laundry list of other issues. Previous “technicians” took the thermostats out 🤦‍♂️. Set the timing belt guides too tight 🤦‍♂️. Left a wire clamp off the stator causing the flywheel to rub through the harness 🤦‍♂️. Multiple Bushings along with 3 bolts missing out of the trim N tilt unit 🤦‍♂️. We performed a full 300 hour service. With all OEM Yamaha parts. Along with a new timing belt and tensioner, a complete fuel system service with a new fuel pump, got rid of the nasty rusting automotive battery terminals, and a water test to make sure worry free boating days were ahead.

After another shop declined to help this customer with a technical running issue, he called R&R Mobile Marine. We were able to get the issue properly diagnosed and repaired in the same day. Customer was so happy he had us come back today and perform a full service. These days so many shops and mobile mechanics just want the “gravy” work. Dealerships wont work on anything over 10 years old, mobile “mechanics” with very little or in some cases no prior shop experience. They’re quick to perform a yearly engine service and post it on social media, but when it comes to real diagnosing they’re not there to help. Or they just outsource the real diagnostic work. Come see the difference when you hire a certified outboard technician with over 15 years experience diagnosing and repairing outboards in central florida.
